SlideFX -- Did we tandem?

It's so tough. I kind of grasp the concept of what i'm supposed to do, but i'm too slow. I don't think i'll ever be able to do the back section of SSR5 'cause i can't countersteer quick enough. I tried the Online Challenge on Spa yesterday and barely made Silver. It's so fun when you do get it right though.

I got gold in a 200hp Datsun 510. XD
 
I think once I get my wheel and shifter in a proper position it will be a bit easier for me to get the hang of.

So after 2 months of rebuilding the engine on my bike I'm finally done.
It's running again. Got some electrical gremlins and need to adjust the carb properly, but it works. :D
It won't start with the electrical starter, but if I push it it does. And after I pushed it 2 times it works with the electrical starter. Crappy electrics.

Who the hell came up with the idea to build a Supermoto without a kickstarter?
Anyways, I'm happy now :D

Am i missing something here? My wheel acts like fm4 on sim steering, it snaps back at me like an angry wolf... I cant keep a slide going for more than 20ft...
 
I drive without power steering. You're just throwing to much countersteer.
 
I watched in-car vids like all day at school:/ I don't see where i'm going wrong? I throw it in, catch the car mid-drift, then try to extend my angle by turning the wheel in more and it just spins me out?

Steer with the throttle, or you may be going too slow to get anymore angle, sometimes you really have to haul to get the angle you want


On a related note, anyone up for a lobby?

Yeah either that, or he's countersteering too much. It does happen. I watched real-life in-car videos of japanese people and learned from there.

@Yello - Let me break it in first dude. I haven't fully tuned it myself yet.
 
I had the same problem when I started on the wheel, but then I figured out some "lock points" on the wheel, and it's really helped me since. I'm starting to get the adjust of how to tandem now. :D

I came on earlier, but then headed out with the lads. I might be on tomorrow? No idea, just got in and pretty fecked. 'chefter! 👍

Been driving quite a lot with my DFGT and I think I might start drifting with it - definitely going to take a while and a lot of patience, which I don't have.

I'll post here if I head on and nobody is about on GT5. Night!

Hahaha, I've got one. I just need a new adapter for it. =]

Honestly man, drifting with the DFGT is so easy once you click. I'll probs be on. I'm on atm, teaching a kid from NFS how to drift. He's finally got the power over drift technique down. :P Took him a good 2 hours. >.>
