@BradESPN thanks for organizing this. While I still am figuring out tire selection/pit timing and racing with heavy damage (self injury) it was a great time. Thanks to @vsfit and @Tecticles for keeping me sane on chat. Great racing everyone.

Whoever finished 3rd was the highest finisher who's yet to pick.
I really pooched the bed this week - I think I had the strategy to win it all, but I got into an accident from being aggressive and lost my focus completely.

Yeah Hard tires were not the strategy - I was doing RS and pitting at a half tank of fuel, taking new tires - but no fuel. So basically for every tank of gas, two sets of RS tires.
The falloff was drastic once the RS started to wear, but you'd get a couple laps at low 1.50-1.51 pace, then a couple laps at 1.52 pace and a couple more at 1.53 pace before you needed to change.
A pit stop for just tires took all of 10 seconds.

One request I would like to make - can we add flags into our lobbies?
Alsace is a tough track because of so many blind corners and no run offs, and the Alfa gr.3 is very difficult to drive.
I know I had a couple accidents that may have been avoided if yellow flags warned me about the incoming danger - also @BradESPN you scared the **** out of me - I didn't know anyone was behind me when I spun (I drive in hood cam) and as I was spinning my front turned just in time to see you crash right into me lol.

Flags might be a good idea (or not as @Tecticles referenced).
When losing grip, I made every effort to avoid incident - even flooring it in reverse to stay straight moving backwards (a la F&F 2). The majority of my bang ups resulted in only self damage. Also, once down laps and due to my own chagrin (and I am sure to @TEX36 head shaking - but I didn't quit! I finished what I started!), I made every effort to move off the race line once someone was close enough, as per OLR. I made every effort to not ruin anyone's evening and sorry for those I affected with my poor skill.

Lots of different strategies, tough track, very unforgiving - a few of us lost focus and made mental mistakes that led to wrecks.

No problem, I thought I had recovered too, but after the turn through the banking there I lost the edge of grip and couldn't get out of the way. Sorry I messed up your run near the end.

As to being lapped, or an approaching faster car/driver:
When Sam was approaching me, he flashed his lights to make sure I knew he was there. I then looked for a place where he could safely pass - with me under control and out of his line.
Don't think we should use the Flashing at any other time. Might tend to irritate, rather than inform.
Certainly appreciated Sam's patience while I picked a place for him to pass.

Once through the first few laps I switched to map view from radar (much easier to see people running up on me) and was constantly checking my rear view on the straight sections (as I run outside the car view due to controller use). I tried my best to use quality race craft but still not just pull over every time someone was coming up on me.

That was fun. I get to laughing and lose focus though...Thanks @BradESPN and all those involved behind the scenes for putting all this together...That was another awesome night of fun. Don't forget the FIA races tonight everyone.
@stelephant, nice to meet you and enjoyed the race commentary last night. You fit right in with this rambunctious crowd.

Yeah, it's on you @spidermonkey.
The original plan was to simply prevent the same driver from picking the combo in successive weeks, but this could lead to the same 2-3 drivers picking all the time (looking at you @SAMHAIN85 and @MikeGrove). How about we say the "prize" goes to the top finishing driver that hasn't made a combo selection in the last 4 weeks?
This would certainly add to the drama for next week, as there would be a handful of drivers in contention for the prize.

Let's give this a shot in a practice session after @spidermonkey makes his pick. As someone who's been lapped in every race so far, blue flags would help quite a bit.

I was thinking about this, and had some more thoughts.
Option 1. Run an 8 week season, the same driver cannot choose a new combo in an 8 week season. This would give plenty of drivers an opportunity to be the person who chooses a combo, seeing as we're doing endurance races it's a big reward choosing a combo. 4 weeks doesn't really give many opportunities for middle of the pack drivers to have a chance.
Option 2. Run an 8 week season and keep track of points, give the track/car selection to the highest placed driver in the points series who hasn't already chosen.
Either way, imo 8 weeks is a good amount, as it means that everyone won't choose - but it won't be a revolving door of the fastest 4-5 guys.
