My Panorama should be called "Mt Patience".
Understand that aggressive driving will most likely give significant damage to the car being passed.
Ain't nobody happy when that occurs.
@TEX36 We could also call it Mt. Pit Stop if we are having to pit after heavy damage every few laps... ha ha. Seems like it will be either one or the other. I am going to try my best to go with your version though...

Would anyone be interested in a practice race tonight? I'd like to give "Flag Rules" a shot, but I don't think we'll be able to give it a realistic test if we don't have enough drivers.

Only "Like" this post if you plan on attending tonight's practice race - Here are the details:

Race Starts: 8:30 (EST)
Race Length: 50 Minutes
Non-SNAILS: Allowed
Car: TOYOTA S-FR RACING CONCEPT 2016
Tires: SH, SM, or SS
Track: Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit - Dawn

I like the idea of testing out the "Flag Rules".

Sports tires wear significantly slower than racing tires. You probably just have to raise the tire wear from x3 to whatever is needed to make them last as long as racing tires do on x3.

Just doing minimal testing you can get around 10 laps per tank going all out. Tires will probably need to be x4 maybe x5.

Haha...you read my mind

Will be there in about 30 min

Endurance Racing seems to be more about Pace over the course of the race - than about a Sprint around the track.

I have no delusions about ever winning one of our events, so I just establish a Pace (repeatable lap time range) and then just Go with it.

Large part of the race is run alone, no other cars around. So the Pace is the only measure of stability. Having a Goal of No Damage will also take a lot of stress out of the Event.

With other Drivers capable of lap times 6-7 seconds faster - no need for me to try and keep up with them. It will just land me in Damage Pit Stops.

Hope tomorrow's event will be an enjoyable experience for everyone.

It would seem that the start of the downhill, at Skyline, would be a bit tricky - even if no other car is around.

FYI to those of you practicing today that couldn't make it last night - it looks like your target lap time (if you want to compete to win) should be in the mid 2:21's.

But as @TEX36 alluded to, consistent 2:23's might make the podium as well.

Especially with the rising sun right in your eyes as you approach the crest! This might be our most challenging combo yet. At least on Nurburgring the track was a little wider and the car more gripy - this combo takes no prisoners. Looking forward to it
