I'm not a fan of last night's car but props to those of you that can control it. Can I just have one small beef? If someone's gonna quit the race, they should quit to the lobby. That yellow flag every lap was a little annoying. Unless it was done on purpose...

Agreed

@TEX36
You are choosing the combo for next week.
Well, that's a surprise!!
May I ask for any suggestions that others may have considered?
I'll get on today and "Have a go" at picking one.

Sure, I have a few up my sleeve that I've been thinking about. Be aware you cannot pick tracks/cars that have been raced this season. That would mean you cannot pick from the following;

Cars:
gr.3 Viper
r92CP
gr.3 Audi
Dodge Charger Hellcat
gr.4 Corvette
gr.3 Ferrari

Tracks:
Monza
Brands Hatch GP
LeMans
Lago Maggiorre GP
Tokyo - Central Outer Loop
Interlagos

Combo's I think would be interesting.

Any gr.2 car at Blue Moon Bay - Infield A
I think this track drives beautifully with good passing opportunities, but technical sections in the middle - lots of room on the track, and relatively short means how you deal with traffic is important.

Ford GT 2006 N600 at Dragon Trail - Seaside
High powered road cars are fun on Dragon Trail, the middle S bends becomes rather difficult to take properly and the chicane is stressful to take every lap while still maintaining some pace.

BMW M3 Sport Evolution 1989 at Tsukuba Circuit
By far my favorite "slower" street car to drive, it fits Tsukuba perfectly as it's just slow enough that brave drivers can still line up passes. Tsukuba is obviously a very short/narrow circuit making the race behave very differently as passing will be very infrequent, especially in slower cars, and with it being a street car there isn't much in the way of fuel conversing you can do.

M3 at Tsukuba would be fun. Keep in mind that sport tires last longer than race tires when choosing tire wear.
I think we can bump tire wear up to x30 now, so we should be able to make the sport tires wear fast enough to make it interesting.

My apologies. Ran the first 45 mins competitively in the top 7. I just had a new born. And my fiance's shift this week is 3-11. So I rolled the dice with the chance of getting a full hour and 30 mins free. That wasn't the case. I anticipated getting back out competing again but the baby said otherwise. Under these circumstances in the future I'll forfeit out or just not start. I missed 2 weeks straight of snail. So I really wanted to get some laps competitively in.

Totally understandable. Glad you came out at all and I noticed you were putting in fast times. Didn't mean to offend. Congrats on the new kid!

I thought we weren't repeating tracks?

Honored to have the opportunity to select next week's Car and Track.

Car:
Lexus AU TOM'S RC F 2016 (GT500)
Track:
Dragon Trail - Seaside at 08:00
Tires: RS, RM, RH

Make sure to post your commitment to racing 7-3-2018
The earlier you reserve a spot, the better.

Interesting choice, I never would've thought of putting the super GT's at Seaside.

Very sorry, Gentlemen
I forgot to post the Fuel & Tire settings - had them written, just overlooked it.
Hope it is permissible to post them now.
Fuel at 4X
Tires at 6X

Again, very sorry for the mistake

Since there was talk about opening the last race up to bop, What are the options of selecting Gr.2 with open cars and BOP on as the car choice?

I asked that question and understood that the desire is to stay with One-make races.
The last race had BOP for a special reason.

This is correct, generally speaking we will keep BoP off unless otherwise requested.

Anyone going to practice tonight?

Maybe the FIA Events have taken priority. Wouldn't be surprised.
