LAP #1:
@JDMKING13's Mustang gets off the line quickly as the lights go out.
@Mac1032763 and
@CdnSweetTee head towards Turn 1 side-by-side.
LAP #1:
@JDMKING13 enjoying a great first lap and already built a small gap.
@CdnSweetTee maintained her 2nd place and
@Mac1032763 still in 3rd. A few spots behind,
@Kgffy was perhaps a tad late on the brakes and got himself into the unforgiving sand which lead to mechanical issues and car retirement. Just behind him,
@radliffracing and series newcomer
@Smithy 1989 are door-to-door through the chicane.
LAP #2:
The first critical mistake of the race was made by
@Mac1032763 who went too deep at Tune 1 on LAP #2. He cuts grass and crashes into the tire wall.
@DublDee replaces him in the 3rd position.
LAP #2:
@Crunchy Taco got sliding on the uphill exit of the chicane but does well to avoid disaster. But his Aston Martin didn't react well to the ensuing downhill and he spun off track towards the pit entry lane.
@Crunchy Taco is hard on the brakes to avoid triggering the pit sequence scenes and just manages.
LAP #3:
@Smithy 1989 and
@radliffracing had some great, competitive early laps running 5th and 6th but both would suffer disastrous ends to LAP #3 including here by
@Smithy 1989 in the braking zone at the end of the long straight.
@radliffracing's error would come moments later on the uphill exiting the chicane.
LAP #5:
Disaster for
@DublDee who was running in 2nd. His car was a little wobbly through the eses on LAP #5 but it looked like he recovered but maybe it hadn't fully stabilized. He'd get sideways and also slam into the tire wall. The error drops him from 2nd to 8th.
@JDMKING13 still leads.
@Bologna_Duc and
@CdnSweetTee are in 2nd and 3rd.
LAP #6:
Towards the end of LAP #6,
@llNovall has the inside line on
@CdnSweetTee and takes the position.
@socalnatv and
@DRD_Niagara not far behind.
LAP #12 - Lead Change:
Fast forward to LAP #12.
@JDMKING13 had a decent lead for himself but a focused
@Bologna_Duc slowly chipped away at it before finally catching and passing
@JDMKING13 on the long straight on LAP #12. A little further behind is
@llNovall,
@socalnatv and
@DRD_Niagara.
LAP #15:
@llNovall had
@socalnatv in his back seat for long stretches of this race. They're currently 3rd and 4th.
@Bologna_Duc and
@JDMKING13 are still at the front.
LAP #20:
As the laps went by, the peloton of
@llNovall @socalnatv and
@DRD_Niagara slowly managed catch up to
@JDMKING13. The last 7 to 9 Laps of this race were some of the most intense racing for me personally this season.
LAP #21:
The fighting and close action of the 4-car peloton were a great benefit to
@Bologna_Duc who got to pad a lead for himself. Although he does touch a bit of grass in the picture below that could have been ugly.
LAP #22:
Asides from the action towards the front, the cars are pretty spread out at this point as several drivers did go off track. I was able to find
@DublDee and
@JakeMk8 at Turn 1 of LAP #22.
LAP #22:
The blue flags were waving to
@radliffracing in sector 2 of LAP #22 and he played it safe by exiting the track to let traffic go by. Not even a discarded advertisement board was slowing
@Bologna_Duc down.
LAP #23:
While
@Bologna_Duc can breathe easy,
@JDMKING13,
@llNovall,
@socalnatv and
@DRD_Niagara can do anything but as spots on the podium are still wide open. My Z4 was screaming at me as I asked her for all she's got in keeping up with the trio of American machinery in front of me.
LAP #23:
@llNovall managed to get side-by-side with
@JDMKING13 by the end of the straight on LAP #23. The benefit of the inside line helped him take
@JDMKING13 position and move into 2nd.
LAP #24:
In the end, it's a comfortable 6 second win for
@Bologna_Duc who wins his 3rd race of the season. But he did miss out on all the fun positions 2 through 5 enjoyed during the 2nd half of this race.
@Bologna_Duc is joined by
@llNovall and
@JDMKING13 on the podium.
@radliffracing, who finished a couple Laps down was able to focus on the Fastest Lap Bonus and claims it with a 1:17.336. Slightly better than
@socalnatv's 1:17.387.
The Fastest Lap of the weekend was
@DublDee's blazing fast 1:17.088 in Qualifying.
