LAP #1:
@cesarr64 gets away quickly and shows the grid the proper lines through the first few turns. The two Corvettes of
@radliffracing and
@Mac1032763 are side-by-side.
LAP #1:
It's a good 1st sector for
@cesarr64 who's already out of the picture below.
@JakeMk8, who was running 3rd, accidentally got onto the grass with cold tires and had an unfortunate spin.
LAP #2 - Lead Change:
On Lap #2, towards the end of sector 2,
@cesarr64 couldn't get his car stopped in time and had to use the runoff area to concede his position. The grandstands goes crazy as
@bublyman takes the lead. The rest of the top 5 are
@Bologna_Duc,
@socalnatv,
@DRD_Niagara and
@llNovall.
LAP #2 - Lead Change:
Poor
@bublyman with his 729 PP is a sitting duck on the straights. His lead would be short lived as
@Bologna_Duc was able to blow by him in front of the Casino de Montréal.
LAP #4:
@Bologna_Duc still leads.
@socalnatv and
@llNovall have quickly been moving up the grid. A bad spin upon exiting the hairpin would have
@DRD_Niagara drop from 5th to 10th place.
It would be really cool if PD was able to show the action live on the big monitor board set up in hairpin. That might be asking too much.
LAP #5 - Lead Change:
Another spin by a Z4 at the hairpin but it was by
@Bologna_Duc this time. He would drop from 1st to 6th.
@socalnatv now leads.
LAP #6:
It's often a 2 for 1 special with these two. When one races on a Sunday/Friday, the other races on a Sunday/Friday. In this case, and in separate incidents, when one spins-out, the other spins-out. And if you do watch the replays, they do tend to have some pretty good battles between them, just as brothers (in-laws?) would.
On the straight along the St. Lawrence River (known locally as "Le Fleuve")
@DRD_Niagara had a sea of Corvette to navigate through.
LAP #7:
@Crunchy Taco had a deep run into Turn 6. The correction back towards the track initiated some contact with
@bublyman and
@Yugofan.
@Bologna_Duc, shown in 6th, would make up 3 spots.
LAP #8 - Lead Change:
At the hairpin on Lap #8,
@llNovall would get his nose alongside
@socalnatv and get the better exit and took the lead.
LAP #14:
Fast forward to Lap #14. The three Z4's are aligned in an unorthodox way. If
@socalnatv has Turn 7 at Atlanta as his nemesis, perhaps
@Bologna_Duc has the Turn 10 hairpin at CGV as his.
LAP #16
With only a handful of Laps to go,
@llNovall still leads and is on the verge of an improbable double-win in Canada.
LAP #17:
The sold out crowd in Montréal came out in huge numbers to cheer on their local legend,
@bublyman. It was perhaps a race and event to forget for "Le Champion du Peuple", but he's still involved in the action trying to run down
@Crunchy Taco for his 6th position.
LAP #20:
@llNovall does it again. Starting last, he makes his way through the grid, took the lead on Lap #8 and saw it all the way home. He's joined on the podium with
@socalnatv and
@DRD_Niagara.
And check out the top 3 F.L. times!!
@socalnatv steals the bonus really late with a 1:34.668, which bests
@DRD_Niagara's 1:34.679 and
@llNovall's 1:34.696. The three drivers within 0.028 seconds.
@Yugofan not far either at 1:34.730.
