So many times these practice lobbies produce some amazing racing, especially when it gets close to official race night. BY FAR, the most competitive and enjoyable battles I’ve ever had in all my time in GT. It’s what keeps me in this game.

Although I’m way behind the pack in that pic, I’ll be fighting for podium position come race night.

A few driver livery reveals.

Formal Team Announcement:

Introducing the drivers and cars for: Distinguished Gentlemen Motorsports
This team is comprised of multiple established motorsport support sponsors such as HPS, Callaway, and Turner BMW for logistics and Tuning guidance. The three support sponsors have come together to support their respective marques for this upcoming season under the team name, Distinguished Gentlemen Motorsports (DGM).

Three of the Drivers for this newly formed team, Nova, Sand, and Duc, have teamed up prior for various series, and among them, all have won at least one series championship in SNAIL Friday Night Racing and have been part of multiple team championships.
New to this groups team effort is Yugofan who rejoined Friday Night Racing after a two year absence. Upon his return, Yugo came back with a strong effort finishing in the top 5 of the Porsche Cayman SuperCup and has since been invited to this team to round out their 4 driver campaign for the V8+ Supercar series.
Expectations are high within the team and sponsors for another Teams Championship run for these drivers.

Good luck to everyone and all teams for this upcoming series.

Distinguished Gentlemen Motorsports

A reminder to all drivers, if intending to participate in the Team Championship and be eligible for Team Standings, you must have at least two drivers to you Team and you can carry up to 4 drivers. The top two scoring drivers of each event will count toward the team points for that event.

Teams can form and/or build at any time in the season, but remember only two drop scores are afforded. If interested, reach out to one another and get those teams built. The entry is not formal until all cars have been branded with a Team logo on both sides and the front of each car, updated profile pictures submitted for each car, and someone from the team must submit a formal post in the thread noting the drivers and car pictures from all team members.

Less than 2 weeks to go before our opening event. Get going!!

WHITE KNUCKLE MOTORSPORT
WKM has undergone a thorough review of its operations and has made several changes since the closeout of the 2025 season. WKM has relocated to Montréal and will be headquartered out of the recently renovated Circuit Gilles Villeneuve facilities.

In their efforts to lure the team to CGV, the City of Montréal has waived all municipal taxes and as part of the deal, has injected an undisclosed amount of cash that has allowed WKM to expand the brand across Canada and to recruit promising upcoming talent. Its roster now comprises of six drivers that have been divided into two separate teams. A Senior Team and a Junior Team. This arrangement will lead to some costs savings opportunities and the sharing of best practices should yield positive results on the racetrack.

The Senior Team will be made up of Team Principle @DublDee and @CdnSweetTee. @DRD_Niagara has also signed on for his 3rd year with WKM.

ANNOUNCEMENT: FULL PRACTICE RACE NIGHT FRIDAY 27th

Racers: after checking with our race director I will be hosting a full practice race session this Friday, February 27. This will include a qualifying session followed by an 8-lap race and then another 8-lap reverse grid race. Start time will be our normal 9:00p eastern lobby open, 9:15p qualifying start and 9:30p race start.

We have entirely new cars opening on a brand new track. From early practice races the grid launch alone is not straightforward and the opening lap will be quite spicy.

I hope many of you can make it. I apologize for the short notice but this is something that just occurred to me earlier today. Regretably we are still limited to a 16 driver grid so this will be on a first come first serve basis.

*I chose Friday as it looks like the last Nations Cup event is on Saturday for those of you who may participate.

Good morning, Drivers,
Huge shout out and thank you to @Bologna_Duc for organizing and hosting last night's practice event. I wanted to jump in so badly, but promised to hang out with the better half after a busy week.
Luckily, I was able to peek in on the remote feed from my phone and saw some great racing and battles across the field. Lap times look to be pretty close for us to start the season, and as usual, I expect within a few races for the spread to get even closer.

The liveries and cars on track look amazing under the lights and sounds of these big engined cars just added to it all.

Hoping @Nicktune got enough of a taste to take a bite and join us for the season. It would be great to have you, and thanks for joining in last night with zero practice/laps logged....tough crowd to go in cold.

Anyhow, I do expect to catch some laps in the afternoons this week between 3-4:30pm est this week on the lead up to race night.

We do have 16 drivers confirmed with one reserve on the ready so far.

If you still have not submitted an initial TT or a follow up TT, please do so ASAP.

And for those looking to participate in a team effort for the Teams Championship, please review the rules and announce before race night to be eligible for points earned.

Less than one week to go for the kick off our first season in our Gr3 V8+ Supercars.

Sorry @llNovall but I’m out for our first race. I forgot we have tickets to see the Canucks.
Good luck to everyone! That practice session was a lot of fun. I’m really disappointed to have to miss this one.
Thanks for the early notice. Have a great time at the game.

@Kgffy
You are now guaranteed a grid spot for Event #1. See you on Friday

Event #1 Drivers Meeting
Season Opener

Grid Business
Good afternoon to everyone who will be attending tonight's opening event of our inaugural Gr3 series for SNAIL Friday Night Racing. We open at Yas Marina tonight with a full grid of drivers currently confirmed to race.

ALL drivers on the main race room grid should submit their spec sheets to my PSN: NOVA-0479 between the time that the room opens at 9pm est and the start of qualifying at 9:15pm est. (Drivers that were in the Pre-Qualifying session should submit these spec sheets again to the group psn or my psn before qualifying begins at 9:15pm est)
I'd ask all drivers to make sure they are running a wired connection in any way possible and to clear their network cache before entering the race room to avoid any issues. It seems the online lobbies run based on the slowest running system and/or internet speed in the room....basically throttles everyone down which appears to cause the instability we have experienced in the past. Let's try to head off any of these issues and optimize everything on our own ends that we can to help. For those with faster internet service speeds (over 200mbps+), it seems there are less issues with stability. For those on slower internet speeds or forced to run wirelessly, their network appears to be affected more when other in the household are online and pulling from the service speed. See this link to optimize your network priority for the gaming, and try to reduce internet usage (if possible) elsewhere in the house when racing.

Get them final practice laps in, and be ready for tonight.

Reminder to all drivers:
The first 16 confirmed drivers are holding 1 of 16 guaranteed grid spots. Any additonal confrimed drivers are Reserve Drivers to bump in with priority based on order of confirmation. Please notify me as soon as reasonably possible if you are unable to make the event. The latest acceptable notice without any recourse is 9:10pm est.

Drivers Briefing
A few reminders for Yas Marina:
1.) Be mindful in the opening laps. Be patient, and avoid contact/incident at all cost. Incidents that result in an issued caution, in the opening 2 laps, will come under automatic review for any possible infractions and penalized as necessary. Please be patient, brake earlier, and respect your opponent driver's space/line...they are not brakes or guard rails.
2.) Tight Sections and Chicanes: There is no written rule for these sections, but I'd ask all drivers to exercise caution and good judgement through these sections. Know when you have lost the position when approaching these section, and be considerate enough to back out to avoid the risk of incidents. This series will continue to induce some very close quarters racing, and one slow up, or mistake could result in yourself, both, or many drivers losing position....don't be that guy. If both drivers are dead on, side by side, proceed with caution, and hold your lines. Just be warned that attempting to go side by side in these sections cleanly will slow both of you down and almost guarantee a loss of position(s) from other attacking drivers. BE CAREFUL and AVOID CONTACT.
3.) See this Event Details Link and review for driver specs, race details, and allowable track boundaries for Yas Marina.

Final Reminders:
-Please be sure that everyone is on a wired connection to their PS5 (in any way possible)
-Clear cache before entering the race room
Lets try to do the best we can to reduce the jitters within the lobby.
Any drivers that are noted or noticed to create continuous issues will be asked to retire for the event.

Here is the confirmation list:
Event #1 Driver Regulations
(*) = specs based on initial TT.
(**) = No TT submitted and set to 740.0pp base spec
Drivers that have not submitted an intial TT will default to the base 740.00pp for first event attended, and those who submitted an initial TT will run at noted preliminary spec shown below.
If any of the non-confirmed regulation drivers post a fast lap time faster than 1.0 seconds faster than the next fastest lap time posted for the event, a deduction of 15 points will be deducted from their overall score for that event, and data collected will be used to confirm the driver regulation for the next event attended.
Any drivers that are off the pace and slower than the field pace will be forced to accept the points for that event, and any data collected will be used to adjust and correct that driver's regulation for their next event.
Please make sure to run your follow up TT, and for those yet to run the intial TT, please submit as soon as possible.
