Oh I must be getting old!!
Just got SCIII today and boy.. I can't keep up!! The AI is psychotic! :crazy: Makes Tekken 5 look like childsplay!
Well, let's just say I had about 10 continues trying to beat Night Terror....sheesh! And this is on EASY!! :sick:
I have'nt played a SC game for 2 years..and boy, am I rusty!! :dopey:

It's my main character in Soul Calibur. I've done so much with her in battle...
It's hard to not love her.
 
She's like a Sword-wielding Ling Xiaoyu.


There seems to be a small Japanese girl in every fighting game...

It's all good. I'm just giving you a hard time. In SC1, Xian was an excellent character. One of my best.

I don't play SC2 from pure disappointment. I'm looking forward to SC3 though. ;)

nice site, but, maybe its just my connection but i cant get any of the wallpapers to load more than 1/3 of the way :(

They are allways under 20, have big breasts, wear small clothes, and show their cotton white panties alot. Weird that.

I've always had a problem with that as nobody, or very few, would ever fight wearing the type of clothes you see. The more realistic outfits are like Asuka's in Tekken 5. But then she has the unrealistic skimpy outfit as well. That just gets on my nerves that you cant' have a female character without all her stuff hanging out.

I look at this as a problem with today's society view on women/girl characters. Its like those who are a bit chunky or fat feels so much pressure that they need to look like those sexy video game characters or celebrities to be loved.

Then again, most guys in SCIII are buff and tuff and kick a lot of A**.

If it sells then its good. :) I really don't mind the skin exposer or some cleavage exposer in female video game characters. Just don't go too far like DOA in my opinion. :crazy:

No I'm just joking Maclaren's Angel :dopey: DoA's system is way too simplistic to be enjoyed. Nice graphics but that's about it...
 
I quite enjoy DOA at times, it's simple but pretty fun. It feels very much like a kung fu movie.

Soul Cal is about 100 times better though.

DOA gets boring for me pretty fast compared to other fighting games like Tekken and Soul Calibur.

One thing I do like about DOA fighting mechanism is how each punch and kick lands on the body. :O Kasumi is my favorite character in that game along with Ein/Hayate. :O
 
Okay.. I'm slowly getting the hang of SCIII..very slowly. But I am definately too old for this!! I really can't keep up!!

It looks great. I'm lucky enough to watch it on a big TV in progressive scan. Some of the moves are incredible. I just wish I knew how I did them!!

Anyway, I'm loving it..even if it does sometimes frustrate me to the point of psychosis!

Slackbladder, I dare you to try to do Ivy's Summon Suffering and Calamity Symphony throws. :) Try to learn how to buffer it also, it will be useful. Then try using those throws in the heat of battle! :O
 
I am getting used to SCII now. But I'm trying with one character at a time. Too many and I get confused (which is quite easily done :crazy: ).
Been practicing a lot. So far managed to get 48 conscecutive GI's, both types mixed. And with the majority of weapons unlocked it's getting easier. However I usually need 2 or 3 continues in the "Tales of Souls" mode.
I watch the battle theatre a lot with the AI on Extremely Hard and gauge the type of attacks the AI uses. Annoyingly one pattern I notice is if one GI's the others attack the other usually does too. This can go on for 8 or more attacks. I can't compete with that in the heat of battle!
Anyway, I'm enjoying it all the same!
 
I believe the last chronicle is impossible.

It's just....****ing impossible.
