Sideways down under!

Loves my pink Swedish drift wagon lol ;)

@Devel20

Fully Modded R33 661 + Oil Change = 693HP + 250km's roughly run in and you'll crack 700HP

I have one @ 701HP (MP) and one @ 704HP Currently, and believe DrifTa has gotten his to 707HP

anyone above 707HP in there R33 yet?

Hi All, few updates

Firstly, I have edited the team list on the first page. All members who have been inactive for some time will be moved below the line. If you don't think you belong below the line then get online or contribute to this thread - simple.

Secondly, I'm in the process of organizing a friendly meet & greet with another team - basically its to get to know what we're up against and if we have the numbers there will be a small challenge/comp - all good practice. The main difficulty is negotiating a time that works for both teams, as they're on the other side of the world. The event will most likely fall on a weekend.

What I need is a show of interest? We only need a small group, say 5. I'd really like to see some of our more experienced drivers in there. Drifta-AJV, crackz, im looking at you... would help if you have a mic too for decent communication(i dont have one:tdown:)

I've been thrashing my EVO IV lately to find its limits, and I've found them. I'd love the opportunity to be a part of this if there's any room left :D one question though: what track are we all good at? I know pretty much everyone is good at Tsukuba (me included :sly: ), but some people are driving higher powered cars that aren't suited to it. Personally, I think Autumn Ring or Autumn Ring Reverse would be the best possible tracks - even low powered cars can get around the high speed corners! I love it for drifting, and I'd love to show everyone the sort of things you can do on it! Despite this though, if we're going up against them in battles, then we should see what sort of cars they're all driving and use that to our advantage. For example, if they're all driving 800bhp Vipers, then they're not going to do very well on Tsukuba, but they would do quite well on Cape Ring. We've gotta use our brains over our brawn ;) haha

Another thing: I think we should have a full team drift sesh BEFORE we go up against other teams. That way we all know what we're all capable of, and we all know each others strengths and weaknesses. It might not sound important, but if we end up doing battles, it'd be good to know who should go up against who! If we put a guy with a 350bhp car up against a guy with a 600bhp monster, we'll get smashed. However, if we put a 350bhp car being driven by a god up against a 600bhp monster, it could end up being fairly close! My EVO IV and VII GT-A can both hold there own against Vipers, C63s, M3s, GTRs, you name it :p

Rant over ;) haha

The evo's limits... its 4WD:sly:

Like I said, this is only a taste of things to come & NOT a full blown battle. We'll be drfiting with the other team - similar to what we usually do, with the possibility of some friendly competition.

I think if we go into it with a super competitive front, we'll look stupid as its just a bit of fun:tup:

I dont think it matters what track, a good driver should be able to adapt to anything. I've become a big fan of Fuji speedway - last few corners have such a good flow

Hahaha exactly! That's why it can be a pain in the 🤬 some times from understeer! :sly: I've perfectly tuned my EVO IV now though, and it drifts like a dream :D

And fair enough to second and third comments 👍

And to the fourth one, I'm in a session at the moment on Trial Mountain - the first four coners are AMAZING with my EVO! Hitting the rev limiter in 4th while doing 120kph rear entry slides - aint nothin better than that! :sly:

Yeah I think unless it is awd class in the event prob stick to FR, lol

Hoping to get on for a decent thrash tonight will setup a room on justnotherhuman on 2nd ps3 prob around ten, if you can't join or get a network compatibility error go into network settings and clear the network cache + exit to title screen and go back into GT-Mode as this will re log you in..

THIS DOES FIX ERROR 774 if you still have network issues put your PS3 in a DMZ just about all routers can do this, if you need help just ask...Google haha or me it's easy todo!!

Have had no issues this doing this ages ago...

on a side note these drift comps others are running, are they just run by drivetrain, weight and hp or what?

Btw guys, kris's sub atomic lap is possible, just ran a 6.43.4--, saved replay, on edge the whole lap though

I thought it was by my estimations and calculations *insert geek like accent*

NICE WORK!!!

that would have to be an impressive lap to watch....

damn record it on your phone and upload it! haha

JUST SICK!

Dave well done it would seem boys that Mr Evans is the man to match in the R33 Challenge now w00t! 👍

so Dave is more possible? should I raise the bar add another prize for a lower time? Be interested to see?

Well done dave! would love to watch that lap

I was on a perfect lap last night untill the kid next door walked in and distracted me - hit the edge of the track and it threw me into a wild spin hahaha that real grip is VERY unforgiving

Yer it's possible to be quicker but fml it was already hard getting that, how would I upload it if I record it?? Or can you's just watch it from my gt5 profile if I make it fav?

Btw anyone joining the weekly race series from this site?

Also my splits for the track were
1: 42.716
2: 32.123
3: 26.890
4: 48.272
5: 35.803
6: 24:722
7: 47.179
8: 33.692
9: 28.520
10: 41.108
11:20.273
12: wouldn't show it

Don't think you can "share" replays so too speak, depending on phone or camera just transfer to pc and then upload to youboob or something easy ;) keen keen keen to see, is yours @ 707HP or higher out of interest?

Lol just checked, 688hp and 1247 kg

hmm so 5hp down vs a 0km maxxed R33 with oil @693HP, did you OC it first?

Yer pretty sure, I'll check later tonight before we have a session

Just done oc, 713hp

You may find Dave that if you have already run it in like DrifTa did and then OC it will go close to max @ 707HP ;) Straight up 👍 713HP OOOH Nioce

Good on ya Dave like I said the quiet achiever lol but I'm afraid you only get 1 restart on the night and the pressure can be a b...h lmao any ways it's gonna be a fun night

@Ben
Deffinantly up for so fun drifting with another team just give me some warning as I need a pass from the wifey lol
And remember guys that's all it is no need to be competitive just have fun with it get a chance to check out some other good drifters

And yes my beast has 707 ponies haha and I'll be making sure all of it gets to the road.

I would like to drift. Now.

Fml, may be out of the nurb comp, just broke the bottom part of my steering wheel where it supports it from, hopefully some strong adhesive will fix it, if not gl guys, btw can still drift as I use controller :)

Who's up for a slide right now?

So with the challenge, the max tyre compound that we can use is Sports: Soft?

I ran A 7.08:grumpy: almost fliped car
