Is everyone else getting the message that you cant drive at spa because you haven't bought the DLC. Cheap shop i reckon.

I kinda agree with it. If you dont want to support the time an effort that goes into the DLC, then you shouldnt be aloud to reap the benefits of someone else's money. How would you like if you paid $100 a month for TV and internet just to have your neighbor steal it and bay nothing for it?

Let's agree that it was more than fair that people who have not purchased the track have been able to play it (online) for a reasonable amount of time.

Now stop complaining and buy the track if you like it - support the companies.

So you kinda agree with it but maybe don't kinda? I'm guessing you have the DLC. I'm fine with not being able to host or practise it but seriously, its Pretty messed up. I support the time and effort of DLC by playing the game. Doesn't mean i should be forced to buy it to race one track online.

good i say, why should others be able to play on our dlc for free? if they want to use then they have to buy it, simples!!!

A kid whining because he can't play something that he didn't pay for. Great...

lol, yeah i'm that kid that drives around in the x1 all day. Seriously man wake up to yourself. Your inference is amusing.

I suppose it depends really... if it's the annoying kids who run around in X1s ramming people cause they can't drive for crap, thinking they're superior to everybody else, then that's their fault. But if it's people, like one of my friends, who can't afford to buy something like that in the holiday season and has to wait until Christmas, then I guess that's a tad unfair. I suppose those X1 kids should sit on Santa's knee and demand the DLC like they demand everything else.

i dont think its unfair. if they want to play on the track then they should buy it like other folk have. its unfair on the folk that bought it/ im glad its been changed

They should have announced from the beggining that it would be available online for a short period of time rather than just take it away but I see nothing wrong with restricting it to DLC owners. It is DLC afterall. Letting people try it is a great way to get sales if you ask me. People saw how awesome it is and now they will have incentive to buy it. Most, not all, of the people who didn't buy it had no reason to want to pick it up if when they could race it for free. I guarantee the sales of the bundle and track pack will shoot up this week.

So before If I was not online my friends could still play Spa in my lobby, even if they didnt buy it. Are you guys saying they cant anymore?

In my not so humble opinion, this is a very short sighted, ill considered plan by PD. Yes some people will go out and buy the DLC but I don't think it will be very many. For sure though, it's going to interrupt the flow of online racing. It's tough enough to find a good room to race in, now if they go to Spa or Kart Space or future DLC tracks, you'll no longer be able to participate without purchasing the DLC and many will exit and find another room. The more DLC tracks you get, I think the less online participation you will get because guys who don't want to pay for the DLC and according to sales figures that's about 6/7 original purchasers of the game, will give up online racing because they'll be leaving and quitting the game constantly.

For the few thousand they'll force to go and get the DLC tracks now, there will be thousands more driven away from the online portion of the game, and for me, this is not good for their future. I paid for it on Day 1, and I have no objection to sharing it online with someone who hasn't bought it. Remember too, PD took that option away from you, sharing the track with your friends, that you paid for.

I just checked and I can still access Spa from my 2nd account through my main accounts lobby. I hope my friends can too.

edit: although i got in I did not try to play it. My friend came in who didnot buy it yet and they could not play it, DAAAAMMMMNNNN!

HAHA I just called a guy in an online lobby a liar because he said that, and I didnt believe him

Damn thats a low blow from PD...

Not really... PD worked super hard on Spa and you shouldn't just be able to get online and race on it for free..

I liked this option. I have the DLC but I think it will be much harder to get a full room on Spa now :( Still it seems like a logical decision to only let people who've actually paid for it use it. I think PD had this option to help the people who couldn't use the DLC on multiple accounts and that's fixed now. Or they just wanted people to try the amazing track and suddenly not allow them on it anymore hoping they would buy it :D

Thank PD that you even got to drive on it for two months without purchasing the DLC, if you want to continue to race on it, pay for it.
I have no idea how anyone who has been using it free until now could complain at all.

They could have warned of this change or clearly state since the beginning that public access to Spa and Kart Space was a sort of limited time promotion.

That's just like saying it's stupid for getting arrested for stealing a tv when you help the companies by watching it...

I am glad they did this. I had felt like I only paid for the cars. They are great, but I didnt like that anyone could play those tracks. I dont see it chasing anyone off that would not have left at any rate. I don't see any reason for a "warning" that the time would be limited in online play. I mean honestly it was great that they gave everyone a chance to see what they were going to be missing out on. The fact of the matter is, you were playing on a track you did not pay for and now they have made it manditory. Keep a stiff upper lip and I have a feeling that the people complaining about this will find a way to live through it.

Its no different than the DLC cars you can't put them on your share list for someone to borrow. You can put them there and your friends can look at them but not drive them. If they want to drive one they have to buy the DLC.

I don't really care, to be honest. When I found out I can't play on Spa anymore, I just went to the store and bought it. I mean, why not? Its a great track, and I don't want to miss it.

You *can* race at spa without purchasing the DLC... you just have to find an online room at that location. :sly:

LOL!

What? I have to buy a PS3 AND the game to play with my friends online? That must be the dumbest thing I ever heard of!!! No one should actually have to buy and pay for something if they want to use it. Right?
