For me I used the S2000... A supercharged/turbo charge Miata and a Lotus Elise wouldn't be bad choices either.... I friggin love all three of those cars.

Yeah that's a good trio to give a try with. I personally will be running the S2000 in everything I can get it into. (:

Tuner Village S2000 or Brand New that you trick? I have to say the Amuse S2000 GT1 ('04) looks sexy as hell. No love for Spoon :yuck: Anybody like OPERA?

Shelby Cobra. All it needed was a fully customizable suspension and some new brakes, unbeatable. Love that car. Too bad it only comes in one color.

Here's a twist on the question: What do you classify as a "roadster"?? To me the Viper is not a roadster. It's too big and powerful to be a roadster. Roadsters are open top nimble cars with an edgy attituite. They aren't designed to go fast, but they are designed to handle quite well. The Miata would be about as "roadster" as you can get these days, for me, followed very closely by the S2000. The Honda has just a bit too much girth and power to be number one in the "meets the definition" list, but it is by far first in my heart (:

Well to me, a roadster is just a convertible without the top; besides, in the description it just says convertibles, so any car without a top will work. Going back to the cars, I had already bought a '94 TVR Griffith 500 from the used car dealership and used that. Man I love that car! :)

why are you using the vipers? Even that tvr is bit much. Don't you think you are kinda ruining the game by doing that? Any pansy can win with a car set with 200 or more horses.

I used an S200 with some mods, don't remember which, but I had like 290 HP I believe, and won with ease. I agree with S31Ender, it's a lot more fun when you can actually race the opponent's cars, but it's so hard to be competitive, you're either way ahead, or way behind for most races. It would be cool, if the game would automatically pit you against competitive cars depending on what car you're in, instead of seeming to work off of a set list.

Um, I used a '99 MR2 Spyder. It was just fine to win all the races even when it was stock for the roadster events. I think the races were 130-140 pts.

I used the SSR for its practicality. Easily won FR, Spider, and Truck races with it. Sounds mean as hell with an exhaust, too.

Anyone run the Ginnet G4? Gonna give it a shot shorlty...

You could, but it's very underpowered. Unless that's your thing, i'd avoid it and use it for the Kei Cup (unless that's where you won it, i'm not sure if you bought it or not).

The Lotus Elise 110R (the best one you can buy). But I love this car, with minor mods the thing is a little go kart.

I used the Viper because:
1. I didn't really care about that series
2. I had already purchased the Viper for the American Cup

i'll have to get a ssr for my truck and spider races then... those are the ones i have yet to do in the beginner hall.

Don't bother with the SSR, it sucks in real life and is equally as bad in the game.

Not the new, 200hp one. Come on, 3 races for the price of 1! :)
