I chose the Honda S2000 as well. That way I could use it for both the Spider/Roadster events and the FR events.
It's been a great car. I did very well with it in the Turbo class in the professional races too.

ayS: the top remains down because i guess it's clear now that the ps2 is limited hardware wise to render that many extra objects. in arcade mode i believe you have the option to run against 5 ai vs 1 ai w/top down, hence revealing the ps2's limit.

heh, that's what I used. It was the only car that qualified for the race that I owned at the time. It definitely did the job.

I used a Mecedes AMG SL 65, that I had bought for the Benz races. It totally mopped up with no engine mods, I am now using it for the turbo races. It is a really sweet ride, and I dont even like Mecedes.

Wow, I was surprised how many people <b>DIDN'T</B>say Porsche Boxster (with upgrades) In GT3 I cleaned up with it and the right susp. settings. Perfect driftablity in the corners. Predictable beacuse of the superior Mid-engine. Plus, its got almost one extra liter on the S2000
I havent bought it for GT4 yet, how is it? Nobody bought it coz' its a chicks porsche? Try it tuned and upgraded. Not as good as a full race, but a nice production/street car.

I don't get it, I tought you couldn't enter races wtih more then 2 convertibles, how could you have a roadster championship? Do they have the tops on?

so you can't race the old corvette and shelby cobra in the spider and roadster champschip?

I used a Viper because I already had one. The game threw a modded TVR Temora against me, and though the A-Spec point rating was only 2, I had a much harder time winning those races than even the 120+ point races I've done. I'm going to go back with my MR2 and see if that Temora shows up again, probably tonight. Point is, just 'cause someone took an overpowered car to the race, doesn't mean they had an easy win.
