Yes, you heard right, news is hot off the pan, Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed to Famitsu that (unclear yet whether all or some) Standard cars will receive a Premium upgrade, enabling Cockpit view and more extensive cosmetic damage as well as higher poly models.

This is a huge Holiday surprise from PD, even if just the announcement.👍

Apparently the game plan has changed concerning DLC, as Kaz stated, this is their baby, and as we all know, babies grow and evolve. :D The possibility of other features and content added via DLC seems very probable.

So you all know what time it is, poll time, which cars would you like to see upgraded, to simplify we'll vote for region as opposed to make\country\model.

Let's hope and pray that the bugatti veron is one of them...otherwise these forums will go into meltdown
 
i would say do the old m3!
and please rework the sound as well. It is truly horrible and doesnt do justice to tis great game
 
I hope he at least makes all the race cars premium.

Toyota Minolta 88C-V, Sauber C9, Nissan R89C, and Jaguar XJR-9 LM to name a few.

Make at least those premium and I am a happy guy.

US pleaase. I'd like to see all the Ruf Models upgraded.
 
Very nice from PD, hope they do that for atleast 100 cars.
 
Jaguar XJ220, Saleen S7, Nomad Diablo, 25th Annv. Countach, all RUF's, '97 Supra, Zonda C12, Audi R8 LMS '09 (team Playstation), Furai, Jaguar XKR, all American classic muscle cars, Veyron. (these are just off the top of my head at the moment.)

the Minolta would be nice since I seem to be stuck in that a lot. Other then that the IROC-Z Concept!

Why do you guys want Veyron? whats so special in that car, it doesnt even turn. There are much better candidates.

Personally I couldn't care less about the Veyron...but my general observation is that I'm in the minority as most people fall to their knees and start to worship it whenever someone mentions it

(I don´t know what the guys want with the veyron, this car is a totally piece of ****. Its to heavy, bad cornering speed and the engine doesn´t even stand in RL just one round on the nordschleife because the engine gets to hot and switches to 800BHP to save the engine.. c´mon guys... power is nothing without control, especially to all those noobs driving with over-powered cars and can´t keep on track!!)

because the veyron is a piece of history you clown :) :) :) :) :) :) :) i would like to see the Furai, Veyron, SLR, Countach etc... and all the RUFs but i doubt them because of the porsche badges in the cockpit.

I would hope for the Minolta as well.

Not to mention it seems to be one of the most popular race cars in the entire game.
 
I would rather break it down this way:

- first the ugliest of the ugly have to be taken care of, like the Hommell and Ginetta

- then many of the [Japanese] cars which have multiples of each model (Skylines, Miatas, Lancers, etc.). Those can be taken care of pretty easily.

- following that are iconic or important cars, like the Countach, Veyron, Furai, Ford GT40, Sauber C9, etc. etc.

- the remaining

However, I don't see this coming true really, at least for all cars; Kaz has promised many things, and I would really loved to be proven wrong, but it doesn't seem like we will be getting what we're hearing.

But then again, it's only been 2 weeks since the game released, let's see a year later what's been done.
 
Please tell me that this means we would be able to paint the standard cars a different color??? Such as the FGT, etc... :dopey:

I'd love to see some premium japanese classics. I'm surprised there aren't many. The s800 would be amazing.

I'd also love all the LMP Race Cars to be Added to the List 👍

The Jaguar XJ-9 would be near top of my list for one of the Cars to be done after the Minolta

(Off Topic sort of) If they Fix the Cars up lets hope they do the Same for the Sound of some of them
 
Australia!! We only have 3 cars, surely it can't be hard to make atleast one of the Holdens a Premium. While you're at it PD, do us a favour and put in a W427 or something
 
I would like to see lots of cars from all regions upgraded to Premium!

Also like to see normal cars done, like RX7's, Supra's, you know the street racing car types.

They make nice pictures over the pure racers.

There are so many cars in the game which deserve the premium treatment, in fact, really they all do.

Maybe they will do them all? It would make sense long term. We all know the models are designed to be futureproof.

Would be great to see some old ford escorts and also the Metro 6R4 International in the game too!

- All Aston's
- All 5 Australian Cars
- Jaguar XKR 99'
- Formula Gran Turismo
- Alfa Romeo GTV
- Le Mans Cars

Also
- Get rid of cars that are standard that have premium models also
- Have no limit to the number of favourites for 2 player
- Replays for 2 player (Done in same style of B-Spec, single screen focusing on a particular car or battle)
- Better racing overalls lol
- Make the original paint colours for specific cars always available...while keeping the same system

Future Ideas
- Have sponsor logos that can be won and applied to cars. these would be the only cosmetic work in the game. Make it that if you apply a sponsor logo to a car and win a race you get a small bonus to the race winnings.

Other than that, I consider this as a good news! :D

Update: I wish every open wheel cars be premium. Just make FGT and 2J and I'm happy. And the Caterham, too. :)
