Standard cars to receive Premium treatment.

I'd like to see some newer cars. All the GT4 cars are old now, and many of those were GT3 carry overs too, which makes them 'new' a decade ago.

Ie, Ruf has released a whole flurry of new models and those would be nice to have has premiums. Ie, 996 Turbo R, 997 varieties perhaps.

Zonda C12S 7.3. The R is nice, but I want a road car Zonda with an interior. Drop the C12 and C12S, and keep just the 7.3S and the R as premiums moving forward.

TVR Cerb/Griff would be nice with interiors too, to go along with the Tuscan and Tamora. Maybe add the Sagaris and T350 too.

Furai and Veyron, both high end cars we use a lot, best to have interiors on them!


There are absolutely TONS of standard cars that I don't give two hoots about, and can stay standard for all I care. That are TONS of new cars that have come out in the last 10 years that should supersede many of these old standard car duplicates (ie, we don't need all 10x of each Skyline, MX5, RX7 etc upgrading to premium) Just one will do thanks


If PD do this right, they will have a fantastic selection of cars. But if they just upgrade old standard cars only then they are not really adding appeal to me. The GT4 car list was good when GT4 came out, so pick the best 200 from it (different cars, so no bloody duplicates, we DON'T NEED 5 R32 skylines, 5 r33 skylines and 5 r34 skylines!), and upgrade them, THEN add 100 totally new cars.

Australia!! We only have 3 cars, surely it can't be hard to make atleast one of the Holdens a Premium. While you're at it PD, do us a favour and put in a W427 or something

And add a 1G DSM while we're at it: a '92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD would be just dandy.

I think they will at first only update cars, where already are premium versions of in the game. like more skylines.

but i also think they may get some racecars and supersportcars premium over time. but they never ever will upgrade all the cars.

but still i like. at least they upgrade some cars ^^ aren't they?

1) I don't understand the sense behind this poll. Why should the (alleged) standard cars that (eventually, one day who knows?) be upgraded from standard to premium be of a single specific region?

2) I believe it (the upgrade) when I see it. It's PD we are talking about.

I'd love to see more common cars as premiums, too many race and sports cars there already, some of us like to "build" our own race cars.

but seeing i own one IRL; i'd want the Volvo 240 as a premium, maybe they'd fix it then, and lower the weight, it's not a 1.8 ton car IRL -_-

If the standard cars are going to get the premium treatment, then that will mean quite possibly all the cars in a race will be premium. The game struggles with framerate and screen tearing issues, is this only going to make matters worse when the console is gonna need more oomph to push out 12 highly detailed cars at the same time?

My best guess is that they have already started working on this way before release. It was all planned and part of the process. Otherwise it would indeed take a very long time to do this.

Well, I really can't see the point to have "region" upgrades, there are great cars from everywhere not only from a specific region, so I would prefer they upgrades first the great cars from all around the world: all the exhotics and the race cars first of all in my opinion.

Heck, even if they're premium, I might not even drive them.But surely, those Aussie cars deserve better treatment. Not a single aussie car that I've seen in my game has remotely decent textures.

Honestly only 150 cars at most need this treatment, the others I wouldn't even think of using, there is no point of having say premiums of every type of evo etc.
Start with the Group C race cars after that give us the tracks whats the use of over 1000 cars without tracks.

Wow, this IS a really nice surprise. Well, one approach that I would like to see is that things will be completes by manufacturers. Meaning that at first you get a Lamborghini download, and all Lambos are premium.

A couple of Weeks (month?) later you get the aston martin upgrade etc.

But I think this is rather unlikely.

I would LOVE to see two cars as premiums, the Countach, and the golf MKIV R32.

What a silly poll. The cars worth converting come from all over, not just one particular region. But considering my taste in cars I'm voting for europe/UK.

PD should redo the Audi Urquattro, instead of the earlier 1982 10V model, they could simply do the later 20V version, glorious digital dash and all!

Don't forget to make it sound like an Audi 5 cylinder. Possibly the most important part!

I'm pretty surprised at this move by PD as there's so many cars left out of the game (you can just check the wish list threads to see this) I thought they would go down this road with new 'premium' cars introduced into GT5, as well as the fact that it would further increase the amount of cars in the game.

It will also be interesting to see how they implement these new 'upgraded' cars, will the standard version in your garage automatically become premium or will the cars simply appear in the dealerships available to buy (again), effectively having two versions of the same car in the game?

I believe the first Standard cars to get the Premium treatment will be those of which there is already at least one existing Premium version. So potentially all Skylines can be Premium as there is at least one Premium version of the R32, R33 and R34, all NA Mazda MX-5 can, etc.

This makes a lot of sense as they need to do this anyway for GT6. Great news.

Still the car list should be reduced to 500 or so. Lots of useless cars there at the moment.
