Still waiting for that trailer. Heard rumors of last week which came and went. Now hearing we may get it on Wednesday during the Disney investor day. 🤷‍♂️

Great Scott!

I kind of hope he plays a mad scientist of sorts that can give some insight into Grogu or a secluded Madolorian who's been a hermit on some planet for a really long time.

Small release date push on Kenobi, but they're giving us the first two episodes to make up for it.

Unbelievable seeing these characters and actors coming back from my childhood.

Star Wars Celebration is this weekend (starting today officially) and the first bomb just dropped. And it looks absolutely amazing!

Edit: Andor premieres on August 31st.

Bugged out to watch Ewan McGregor after all these years.

Edit: That did not need two parts.

The first two episodes of Kenobi were pretty good. Vivien Blair is the perfect fit for Leia as a kid and really captures the character well. I also like that Flea showed up too, I hadn't really read much on the series prior to its release so I didn't know he was going to be in it.

So far Moses Ingram is awful though and she way overacts her character. Her voice doesn't fit with the rest of the cast either, she sounds way too American for the Star Wars universe, especially when she's part of the Empire. I figured she'd be good since she was excellent in The Queen's Gambit.

Unfortunately, as soon as I mentioned that in other online discussions I was accused of being racist. I have zero qualms about the race of any actor that plays in Star Wars and actors like Sung Kang and Kumail Nanjiani are both really good. Kang plays a great villain character, although it's difficult to get past him being Han, and Nanjiani offers a bit of comical relief while being a convincing con man.

Hopefully, Ingram gets better as the show moves forward and her character is developed more.

Oh and I want the Star Wars/Breaking Bad crossover to happen since it's clear blue meth is a thing.

I thought she was pretty good, though I'm not familiar with Reva's character. Rupert Friend I found the opposite though, pretty underwhelming.

Yep, as soon as a realised we were going to see Leia I thought it would a risk, but, she did a good job, and I like the way Bail has been written as well. The 'not even a real Organa' bit was great... I was like "F YOU, you don't know man! You don't even know what she is!!", and she shut him down brilliantly.

My biggest gripe so far was the scene where she was being chased, that was terrible.

Yeah the chase scene was a little bit ridiculous.

The first two episodes were just ok to me. I'm not very familiar with the background characters of the Star Wars universe so I'm learning as I go along.

I loved them both. A bit disappointed that the 2nd episode was only like 30 minutes long though. The first episode did a great job of setting things up, getting us acquainted or re-acquainted with all of the characters. The little girl that plays Leia nailed the role perfectly. I do agree the chase scene was a bit over the top, but whatever.

Second episode felt more like a filler episode to me. I think they could have made it a bit harder for Obi Wan to find Leia, it literally took him no time at all lol. I am curious what they are going to do about the Grand Inquisitor because he's in Rebels which takes place ~8 years from this point, so must be one of those "nobody dies in Star Wars" instances. Hopefully we get an explanation.

There's some interesting news going around right now that this season might be longer than the 6 episodes that were announced. This past weekend at Star Wars Celebration, Ewan made a quick appearance on stage somewhere and thanked the fans for the support. Then he said, "It was amazing watching the first two episodes the other night. I hope you love episode three and then four and five and six......and seven and eight and nine and ten!" He basically said that, mic dropped, and waked off stage. So is he joking around or is Disney planning on surprising us with more?

I was reading that they have 2 stomaches so i guess that sort of explains why he survives.

Curious to see how Reva knows that Anakin is Vader, and also strange that it took Kenobi 10 years to learn that Vader survived.
