Was thinking about this at work today,In lunch break of course,As GT4 is suppose to have many used cars and supposing PD keep the prices realistic,I think 5000 would be a good challenging starting piggybank.

5000? Unless the cost of cars drops 5000 will only buy you what...a second hand mirage ( just example judging from gt1 and 2)... i think the 10,000 would be better, because ive pretty much planed on getting my self a late 80's early 90's supra :trouble: (again judging prices from GT1 and 2).

yea 5,000 is wayy to low most likely they'll give us 10,000 to 15,0000 I hope because if they gave you more you could do alot to the car right of bat and I want to build up my first car slowly and by beating other stock cars, and yea judging by the prices and line up in gt1 and 2 a supra is a very good choice :D

I think 8000 would be a good amount, since if GT4 is like GT2 there will be loadsa cheap cars & I think thats where the player should start at. Still these days you still ought to be able to buy a Supra etc... for that.

Or maybe 4000 & you have to choose between an S13 silvia & mazda protege/323 saloon :D

'Volvo, what other car can you overtake a porsche with a wardrobe in the back'

How about an Audi RS6 Avant? Now that is nearly 911 quick. I'd like to see a T5 overtake a 911 (even a bog standard Carerra) if the porker driver was even half awake.

Paul.

lol don't take it so seriously ;)

I think you'll find more people associate Volvos with being load carriers than Audis, in this case a Wardrobe, not thats a good thing. I'd prefer a saloon any day, unless I was transporting a choir hehe

A Porsche, 0-death in fewer seconds :p

They'll probably just give you 10,000 like in GT1 and 2.

:)

Sorry T5-R, I did seem to be taking it a bit seriously didn't I!!! Must have been extra overworked on Tuesday! Nice car the T5, must be good considering how much our friends the boys in blue used it...

Cheers,

Paul.

I dont actually own a T5-R or 850R yet, but in a few years I hope so. My bros got a 2.5 20V 850 & its really nice.

Plan always was that if I bought a T5-R I could outrun the Police T5's

As hired by the Ferrari F1 team hehe

Heh, my car originates from Manchester, got several interesting dents on the bonnet & most of the glass was replaced at some point

:p

Damn right, last week it was attempted at 80Mph but the bricks didn't get under quick enough, they still got the wheels though.

The credits for GT3 were boosted from 10,000, from GT2, and boosted from 15,000, GT3s original amount before it was changed, to 18,000 because of the high prices of the new cars you had to buy. Now that we have used cars coming back in GT4, I would be surprised to see it not fall back to 10K or 12K.

for $5000 you can get a decent 2nd gen rx-7 TII. somewhere around 200hp, very light, rwd, lsd comes stock, and handles well.
