Should we all turn off our mics before race start?

Nice JT. I most likely will run lmp but will jump to gt if the field is light

This all sounds good, I'm in for racing a gt class car and definitely in for season 3 of super tuner.

Another suggestion for racing: What if each person comes up with 2 or 3 track and car combinations per a race night, then we cycle thru by alphabetical order. Maybe post the combo here so everybody can make sure they have the cars needed for possible use on race night. I'm just thinking maybe this way we can use more cars that we don't usually use. Make sense? Like I could say, '60-'70's Japanese cars at Tokyo; BMW 2002 '73 at London, etc.
 
Oh, and I want an Asian pear salad.

Hi guys long time no see, Can anyone join in?

This sounds like fun, I like racing cars, think I should be able to make it after GT500 league friday night... Couldn't see where you're running this, La Sarthe with 24hr time cycle maybe!?

If you can fit me in with your regulars I'll run either class (LMP preferred) in the following:

Qualifying Revised.

One stage qualifying system.

Room Lobby / Lounge will be open to qualify and post your fastest time. 30 minutes. This will determine your pace lap position for the race.

Pace Lap: 1 lap will be added to the race distance for a formation pace lap. Drivers will be called one by one from grid start to get into the order they finished. The first place driver will stop 100m after pit lane and everyone will line up behind in order. DO NOT pass the driver in front of you.

Drivers will line up in a single file. A minimum of 3 car lengths must be between cars.

LMP lines up in qualifying order and LM GT in qualifying order directly behind LMP class.

The Formation Lap speed limit is 100 kph / 60 mph
*Stay in your qualifying order
*Do not hit other cars or exceed the speed limit

Rolling Start: When pole driver turns onto the pit straight the race will go green flag once 100m from start/finish line. -!This will be when the pole sitter of the LMP class reaches the pit entrance wall!-. No passing is allowed until crossing the start finish line. Drivers will be penalized for false starts and illegal passing.

Pit Lane is closed during the pace lap. Drivers who enter the pits will recieve a penalty.

If during qualifying race a LM GT passes a LMP ignore position and grid up in order in your own respective class.

This is a single file start.

-Do not step on gas when the race starts.
-Line up in the order you qualified within your class.
-Then drive in a line around the track at 60mph. (swerve side to side warming up the tires like your a real race car driver, maybe put on your work gloves, put a piece of yellow tape on the top of your steereing wheel to watch it go back and forth and rev the engine senselessly)
-When the lead car reaches the pit entrance wall he goes green.
-Everyone else follows.
-No passing before finish line.

The race is at Road Course Daytona. 30 laps +1 should give us just over 45mins of racing. 630hp for LMP 600hp for LM GT. Race soft tires. Damage set to off. No cutting the chicane.

During the race the GT cars WILL be passed by the LMP's. The GT cars are to hold the proper racing line throught the corner and the LMP is to pass "off" line.

Other than that this is a fun race so lets enjoy ourselves.
 
DJ, can you take the two above sets from Roadrash and I and temporally post in the OP for easy find.

Tissimo is a direct invite from me, there won't be any driving issues from him.

I'm going to test that today because i was 2 seconds faster, at least in that car I'll let everyone know by this evening
 
The CLK-LM, Toyota GT1 and R390 GT1 are actually a LOT closer to LMP then GT. If you read their history on wiki you will see that they bent the rules as far as possible to make those cars eligible.

I would either add weight to them, lower their HP or remove them all together.
