Definitely want to expand on the team idea for next season. Do u know any good links that run team series? That way I can pick and choose some stuff and come up with some guidelines.

This weeks race is actually Viper vs Corvette. We switch the theme of the race every week though so you have a good chance of using your favorite cars. You can always finds this weeks theme and regulations on the OP (original post) of this thread or in the scheduled events thread over at supertunercar.webs.com
So the league "boss" would just add the points the members of the team made together? For example if I was 5th place and my team member was 3rd would he just add up the points for 5th and 3rd to get the team points?
If so that is a fairly easy way to go about it and I like it but it would restrict teams to being of a set size. For example, we would have to mandate how many members are allowed in a team to keep it fair. So that would force the 3 amigos to become 2 our force other teams to be 3 members. Hmm...gotta think about that one.
Another thing I am interested in doing for season 2 is bonus points. I'm thinking of granting a point (or half) for every lap led and 5 points for the fastest lap of the race. What else would be a good and most importantly easy stat to track to grant bonus points?
I'm also working on a google docs spreadsheet so I can link race results and standings straight to it. I'm no expert though so don't expect a very refined spreadsheet LOL.
Yes 2 or 3 team members would need to be determined. All members should run same car unless we are doing a one make race. I'm not too sure about bonus points for every lap led. Example being our Cape Ring race. A ton of us got super jacked by the glitch and never had a chance at getting close to the front. It's a miracle I made it to 4th from 12th after the fiasco.

I agree on all points. Teams would alienate newcomers. We were just fooling around and came up with the three of us, driving the same car in the same colors.
Well i wouldn't want to alienate anybody or make them feel left out so I guess thats off the table. I just thought it was a cool concept but I didn't think about any of the stuff snoopy said. At least it cuts down on my work!
