JT, drove the Vette last night in Logan's lounge and was fishtailing everywhere. I had found the two cars almost the same before, but last night was different. Depending on how the lounge is today, I may go with the Vette.

Gotta watch out for the sand pits as well...I got stuck in the first one on multiple occasions so i'm hoping not to repeat that mistake.

I voted for the track and dont like it! Should be fun though, I might be mowing a lot of grass

hahaha this track is tricky. Its got those really sloooow corners that always trick me into thinking I can go faster than I really can (which always leads to me in the kitty litter) and trying to catch a draft sucks you to the outside wall. Not to mention how flat the track is, its tough to get good turn in once your front tires are about halfway worn down.

Still it should be a really fun race if we can keep the contact to a minimum and theres no lag/glitching going on.

Well this is a bummer. My wife's sisters and her mom stopped by for dinner. Doesn't look like I'm gonna make it this evening. I got the ZR1 and a tune which I drove really well last night during a practice session. :grumpy:

I went on my ps3 browser and cleared the cache right before the race...right now we have 10 guys in...just keep trying

Great race guys! Congrats to Grayfox for the win. Thanks to all those that came out. I will be busy this weekend but look for all the updates (race results, point standings) monday afternoon.

Indeed great race everyone. And congratulations to Grayfox! My favorite part was when I came in to too hot to Turn 1 and I rammed head on into the inside barrier to avoid taking out two other guys. Interestingly enough my front end actually became more pointed.

Congrats Greyfox on the win. Great job DJ you ran a great race.
DJ you made a suggestion of pre registering for the race, thats a good idea. But I'd like to suggest limiting the field to 12 to keep the lag down. Last night was the worst lag we've had. My split time behind kept jumping back and forth gaining 2 seconds and losing 3 all in one lap. It was crazy. But it's up to you. It's great to see that kind of turn out.

Maybe we can try 16 on an open lobby instead of a lounge. DJ can post the room number on GTP and we all hop in?

That was a fun race.
I'm mad I'll be missing the last race of season 1 next week, but I was already practicing for season 2's opener last night!
good luck to everyone next week, I'll probably pop in for the practices anyway

very fast guys here , I cant did better than 10th , but I am happy to race in this group
thanks to DJ

I had a little lag last night, particularly at the slow corners. But my lap time was about the same (maybe a little slower). I did notice that I had to brake earlier than practice.

The race was intense. By the time I looked at what lap we were on, it was already lap 8.

The post-race races were fun. I had some good laughs and really enjoyed the racing.

we can try the open lobby but in my experience open lobbies lag quite a bit. Limiting the number of racers might work but to be honest watching all those cars go into turn one on the replay even had my GF ooing and ahhing.

I may upgrade to roadrunner turbo internet. It runs 20 Mbit/s / 1 Mbit/s

The lag didn't seem that bad. It seems worse right at the beginning, but improves after that. I don't think we should limit the amount of players. What effect do all the mic have on the race? Maybe just djchon should be on.

The lag didn't seem so bad for me as well but I'm going to lower the voice quality to low. Hopefully that will help.

Also don't forget to vote on next weeks race! Voting ends tonight so make your voice heard.

DJ, thanks for the detailed race results.

Question: should we turn penalties on for la Sarthe? There are a couple of corners where we can take shortcuts and I think it may makes sense to turn penalties on to make it fair for everyone.

Also, are we starting out in afternoon and ending in daylight? I would recommend that we run first 1/4 of the race in fading daylight, then the middle part of the race in night, with the last 1/4 of the race in morning light, so we would have a 50/50 split between day/night.

For season, could we do some more RM races, like the Tuscan and the Elise?

I think we should do some practice runs and check out these shortcuts and see how bad they are. I'm generally against penalties because I feel they are inconsistent and having cars run through other cars just feels silly but if circumstances call for them we will put them in place.

As for this weeks race thats exactly what I want to do. If we can figure out what time works best to get the time change effect that would be awesome. Also we need to determine the number of laps. I want at least 45 minutes of racing.

As for next season the 2nd race will be a 500PP RM battle which you can use any RM car you want (as long as its 500PP). I would also like to do some more one or two make RM races. Remember to add your suggestions to the Suggestions thread in our websites forum.
