If PD consistent, they will probably keep both variants, such as what they have
done with Spa & Nurburgring, they might even assign a year to the variations.

Does PD really need to keep the "Old Suzuka" version? If I am correct, they will never use it again for the single-player mode, and I doubt online players will really use it when they have a more up-to-date version. If we were talking about a historical layout, this wouldn't apply, but then again...

I don't think they'll completely replace the old course simply because the minor layout and terrain changes could break any replays and invalidate any records made on the old version. The old version will be kept alongside the new one. (What will they call the old version though? Suzuka Circuit 2006? 2007? Place your bets!)

I will be pleasantly happy with this track updated. I am very excited for where they took the guard rail out! That will be fun to drive around in. :)

It is actually less taxing on the system when all the vehicles are the same model.

They are only 12 cars, one in each color. Then, there is no reason we should not have a 16 car same model option in any mode. We get the same model races to acquire stars in each tier. MX5, PRIUS, ETC.

He think that we already have track without and with weather changes and now we will have third version with weather and day/ night change. So why not remove first version without weather and day/ night changes . Same for Spa, and other track who have their copies without weather anday/ night changes .

PD logic: But having all those variants increases the track count (just like car count... anyone...).

As far as I recall the game lags considerably at the start of Red Bull X Standard races.

Naughty Suzuka. should be the classic name for the old track.

Would be nice to have an even older version with the original full fat 130R (With no run off) and maybe a Pure Cane Sugar Goodness Degner before they double apexed it.

Didn't stop them with Goodwood.

But wasn't Goodwood's update just a few textures and a new statue? This Suzuka update is a track layout adjustment and some other changes.

With Suzuka given a update, I'm wondering if PD could do a 80's Suzuka like they did with Brands and Monza for the Senna tribute.

Biggest differences is the lack of runoff and the quick right hander after 130R where the chicane is now.

I know everyone is talking about West course, but can someone tell me why is there a Honda Today racing with a GT500?

Good point. Although I don't see a problem with them keeping the code for replays but no option to drive on it. Im not looking at GT past, Im considering what the New FIA agreement might look like.

Oh my god, it is true: Premium Honda Today confirmed for GT7!

Ok, jokes aside, I don't really know. Maybe it is a new inside joke that PD began doing recently? I remember when they streamed a GT6 session (for the Toyota FT1 VGT and the Nissan 2020 VGT, IIRC) at the Nurb' and forced one of the professional Japanese drivers (can't be arsed to remember who at this exact moment) to drive one. Poor sap...

I only notice the llagwhile watching a replay. When I'm driving, everything is smooth when I play. I dont know how it is in online play.

Suzuka in the rain from 4pm- 9m would be nice.

One particular track comes to mind...

Circuit De La Sarthe? Aren't there five versions of the same track, one being a 2013 rendering? I'm surprised nobody had mentioned it yet.

Suzuka West is an anti-climax...Make no sense to me...Is a broken Suzuka...(stay away from me...lol...)

Is that so? You are right, that fact bypassed me. :odd: If that's the case, then "Old Suzuka" might actually stay, considering that past.

Five versions? I know one is the 2013 rendering, and another is Le Mans with the non-chicane version of the Mulsanne straight, but what are the other three?

Here are all of them:
2005
2005 no chicane
2009
2009 no chicane
2013

I actually have really fond memories.. but not from GT, I really liked this track in Tourist Trophy. I'd like to see it back, just for nostalgia and the fact that it can't be that hard to introduce it.

For nostalgia, bring them all!

Not on my machine it dont, ive heard so many complaints on this forum regarding lag, freezing, not installing, crashing & what not, gt5 & 6 run perfectly fine to me @ 1080p. 1st gen slim 250gig.
Then again maybe i don't abuse it like most people, only 2hrs a night if im lucky.

I did read somewhere that gt6 didn't like that hdmi deep colour & a few other options in the ps3 video settings but I could be wrong.

Well I'll be dammned. :odd: I could understand PD saving one "no-chicane" version and the latest version, but two "no-chicane" versions and their matching tracks? Why? And even if they saved the 2005 "no-chicane" version, it's still not a historical layout, because it is based on a newer version of the track...

Game should come with a warning: "Abuse this game by playing more than 2 hours a day and you'll have framerate issues, freezing, lag, crashing and more" :ouch:

At least GT games.

Drive the 2005 version of the track and drive the 2009 version of the track. There are real differences on both tracks. It should be the same with the new Suzuka track.

Ah, that's so? I guess I jumped the gun there, Le Mans is not my usual stomping grounds. :dunce: Therefore, I suppose "Old Suzuka" will get the same treatment, be lableled with a year and join the other tracks. After that, I might actually drive both version of Le Mans to check those differences.

Thanks for making that fact clearer. :)👍

First chicane after start finish line is different and there in 2005 version we have sand zone around track. In 2009 first chicane is changed and lot of gravel\sand traps are changed with asphalt safety zone around track.

I doubt they'll keep the old GT5:P Suzuka
