I sent a friend request can race sunday and tuesday nights and have about 5 other that would be wanting to race as well. We race this car on a regular basis

There are a few spots open in the Sunday races. The Tuesday Night races are currently full.

I've been thinking. I was going to ask you Mchid if I could spectate this Sunday if I'm around but then I thought, "I don't want to get in and take up a regular's spot" so I'd have to join the room after the race start just to be sure and not before. If I was a Sunday regular and tried to get in 2 minutes after qualifying started but couldn't get in because the room was full, I wouldn't be too happy if I looked up the race results and found 5 or 6 one-time racers or guys from Tuesday filling in took up the empty spots.

Something to think about Mchid when we go about inviting drivers not signed up to that particular day to race. Maybe we should have a cutoff of sorts where the regulars have say 10 minutes to get into the room so they're spots can't get taken by fill-ins and then after that it's wide open to anyone that wants to join. I'd also suggest that anyone who didn't sign up for that particular night shouldn't receive points for their finish either.

Something to think about...

Good points Johnny. I agree about the fill in drivers and not receiving points. Any new drivers that want to sign up for the Sunday series will receive points.

I usually have the lobby up by 2:50PM and will post here when its up and running. Lets say by 3:10 if there are spots open you can be a fill in driver so the regulars have a chance to join.

I agree (and suggested awhile back:sly:) that we only be eligible for one prize, but the points can be totaled for both. Two prizes...Thats okay on the Price is Right, but not here me thinks.

I don't know, I can understand being eligible for only 1 prize but not awarding the points themselves seems a bit too much. If you complete a race in a points position in any race in the world you get points even if it's your only event of the year.

Are the sign ups still open? These things are tiny little pocket rockets for me. :D

That was more the point I wanted to get across. I'm going to edit my post.

Yeah there are a few spots left in the Sunday races. There are 4 races left and the points only count your best 4 out of 5 finishes. Let me know your car colors and number and I will sign you up. The race starts today at 3PM est.

That sounds fair. You will only be eligible for the prizes for the series you are signed up for. Fill in drivers will be allowed to receive points. Does that work for everyone?

Right then, so 8pm in my time. Obviously won't be making it tonight :dopey: but next time I should be there.

Anyway:
#: 21
PSN: V16T91
Colours: Blue/Purple
Sunday Series only.

Race lobby is CLOSED. All fill in drivers allow everyone who is signed up for the Sunday series to join first. If there are still open spots by 3:10 you may join.

I'm gonna join it quiet late, probably right as the hour turns.

Race Results are posted on the First page in the 1st post. Great racing to everyone that showed up.

There were a few incidents of contact etc. during the race. It was a difficult track to pass on. To anyone racing either series please make every effort to be aware of your surroundings on the track and to be courteous to faster drivers. 👍

One of the best was to do that is set your track map scale to 2. We should all know the turns by now so there is no reason to have it zoomed out further.

I agree. When you have it set to default (I think 6) and up you can't tell if a car is one length behind or seven. In the Capps, carrying speed through the corners is so important and knowing that you can go an extra corner before your caught OR knowing you cannot is critical. If the quicker driver is let through, the person behind can watch and see where they are losing time and speed. Its very hard to effectively use the line if someone blocks and both cars lose time. In sundays race...I closed a 14-15 second gap over a period of just 10 laps over Dave and Mchid because of the three way battle with CIA. On my own, unless I was driving my best lap or close each lap, I would never have closed the gap, particularily. I'm fairly certain Michid runs 1:20.xxx for a top time and I couldn't break 1:21.7xx.

I've got a room open for Autumn Ring practice only if anyone is interested. I'll be there for an hour or so, so long as my connection holds.

Room number is 1472 6118 4216 8218 4749

Host status is not fixed so anyone can keep it open after I'm gone. Can also do a course search for Autumn Ring and likely find it.

Room Title: Cappucino Practice on

dangit, missed out on this weeks races due to spring break, i will be back this coming sunday/tuesday. GL everyone!

Since I have hardly had anytime to practice Autumn Ring, my goal for this week is to simply not crash.

I've been practicing but i still suck.:)

I'm just going to try and stay out of the way tonight and learn from the fast guys.

Haven't had much time to tune for this race. In the lobby last night someone dropped in and was running 1:20.5's when I could barely get into the 1:21's so I've got a ways to go. I have tried everything I can think of and have one last desperation move to try...lol. May only get a few minutes to test it out. I plan on being there tonight but I am on call again so it's not guaranteed.

Was good clean racing last night from my perspective anyway...lol. Sorry GTP, man you were completely sideways in front of me and I couldn't avoid you. I'm definitely missing something in my set up because I can't get within 1.5 seconds of the leader's lap times. Got some work to do since I see no one is sharing their set up anymore...lol.

The pace was much greater last night than Sunday. I started 9th and made 8th by Lap 2 and never passed a single car thereafter save for lap traffic. I ran consistent 1:22-1:23 with a couple 1:21s and a few 1:24s, especially the last couple laps and closed in on 7th but would not have overtaken without an accident. It was unbelileveable even. At the circle near the end of the lap, I kept seeing the names of Mchid and CIAFlux on the bridge ahead of me, but couldnt gain any ground and the laps just flew by. That was the shortest 20 lap race I've been in. Only thing that changed was my heartbeat...which was racing with my top time coming very late in the game.

Great race last night! I have posted the results and updated the points standings on the 1st post on the first page. I will try to get pics up sometime today.

Looking forward to tomorrow nights practice session at Tsukuba. I will have the lobby up around 6PM and will post in here when it is.
