Looks like I'm a little late to the party on this one, but it looks like fun. Are there any race replay downloads in this thread? I did a quick thread search and didn't find any. I'd like to see how I stack up.
 
Great race today everyone! Congrats to Prophet for the victory, you ran a flawless race! Thought I would be able to contend for the win at the end, but my lack of practice this week cost me. After that I had a heck of a time holding off Mchid81 for second place the last few laps.

I'm sure the pace will increase on Tuesday so I'll be looking to get some more seat time between now and then.

Great race again everyone!
 
Heh, that was fun. Also forgot to mention that you will be seeing me at the back of the field. Constantly. Although I did take advantage of some mistakes at the beginning. Too bad two drivers were invisible to me :(

That was fun but frustrating personally. I spin too often in these cars, I guess I am full throttle too early at the corner. Any suggestions? Increase LSD setting for Initial and Acceleration?

I got passed by Camikaze at the beginning and was holding on the 5th until I spun 3x at the hairpin. Then it took me like 20 laps to catch up to C-Zeta. We were being lapped so we were both ghost cars and that made passing C-Zeta kinda easy. Ha.

It was the result we wanted for team _______ (ok so we don't have a team name yet). Hopefully Prophet and I can keep it up for tomorrow night and jump us both up a bit in the points standings.

One race on Sunday and I've gotten more points from that race alone than I have from all of the Tuesday night races. Makes me wish the SuperGT series ran earlier in the day.:D
 
I didnt want to complain in room, but that race deserved a restart. I'm watching the replay now and Mchid81, iforcev8, myself and Booch16 start about 3-5 seconds behind the pack going into the first time check. I cant tell how the other cars faired, but my car ran with a damaged engine for the first 54 seconds of the race because of it as I fell into last and after one lap I was already 14 seconds down. I know that eventually iforcec8 got back into the race, but the four I finished ahead of (sparky, cooljetta, luckyjackson and vic20x) all began lap two with at least a 7 second headstart because of the mixup. I know whats done is done, but if there was ever cause for a restart...that was it.

And I know I'm nowhere near winning any sort of prize, but a fair start for all is not much to ask.

Maybe but the 1st race was a mess with the front row starting in the back row and nothing was done about that...

The game deciding where to start people is nothing we can fix. This we could have. It may not be GTP OLR, but I dont think its much to ask for a restart if four cars out of 14 are left behind 3-5 seconds unexpectedly at the start.

guys like CIAFlux, Ning, Iforce, Yuri, Iceman..you all could overcome this because you're quicker, so you may not see the perspective that I, middle of the pack, timid racer without a mic, has. With that start, I would have needed the seas to part to catch 6th place when usually I'm right next to or just behind Davezilla.

Maybe we all deserve a fair start...Maybe? I'm quite certain GTP OLR would disagree. I dont have the luxury of being able to win from miles back that you have.

I thought it was a good race. I qualified 4th and started 4th. Sometimes guys leave the track and their name disappears from the list, but their times are still registered. For example today Bri-Y was just in front of me in qualifying, he left the track and it showed me as third. But when the race he was back where he qualified.

If not for a couple of stupid mistakes and a sluggish getaway I could have stayed in 4th or possibly stole 3rd. I was running in 4th and was closing up to Yuri until I made a mistake that dropped me to 7th, got back up to 6th and slowly chipped away at the gap to iceman before I ran wide in the last corner with about 2 laps left and almost fell behind Mchid. :ouch:

Yeah i agree with you that the race should have restarted.I watched the replay too and still have no idea what happened to the field but its sounds like it was chaos.My replay starts with me sitting in the middle of the track in last place and everyone else racing.
 
I haven't watched the start of this races replay but it sounds like this and the first race probably should have been restarted.

It will be something to consider for upcoming races or for season 2.
 
IforceV8: It was more surprising that chaos. I couldnt focus for a lap or two trying to figure out what the heck happened and why no restart is coming. I kept talking as if I had a mic. If I knew how to send video; I'd send my replay because I show Mchid and Boochs cars starting right next to each. The start sounds and the two immediately overlap (how that is possible I have no idea) only to separate a second later and reveal in ghostly form your greenish Capps...which I en turn blast the ever lovin heck out of it. It was in the following order...Alarming...hugely funny...worrisome...anger causing...then I got back to racing.

PS: folks have tried to help me with technology stuff, but I can't even figure transferring my game from one system to another, so I've no shot at this)
