Swat 4 + new expansion pack on page 4

Does anyone here think the SWAT team AI are a bit dumb? They are slow to fire sometimes and sometimes just walk around an enemy instead of making him submit. Also, I've somehow killed baddies by shooting them in the feet, legs, or arms.... wtf?
Other times when i am right about to subdue an enemie they will just headshot him.

Its fun most of the time.... But I feel like my AI team is almost a burdon at some points. I have to lead the clearing of most rooms because my AI team will just rush in and get owned. Even if they use some type of nade before, they still just get the crap shot out of them sometimes... Not smart enough to anticipate enemies around corners or even prepare sometimes.

Online Coop is just awsome though... almost like a bad action movie.

You're right. i recognised it while playing the A-Bom level. I order my mates to move to a position. Suddenly a suspect appears and they shout him to drop his weapon. Unfortunately he doesn't and fires at my mates. Do you think they go for cover? No! They storm right in front of him and get shot by other suspects appearing right at the moment when they arrest him.

It's anoying. So I use to get in there on my own and clean it by myself. It's not easy but only in this way I'm able to manage the level.

I'm afraid of doing this level in "Elite".

It is possible to beat missions on your own. You just have to take down 1 or two enemies at a time and make sure you have good positioning (a la america's army)
But ur supposed to use ur team.

Ok... But it annoys me when your teammates surround an enemy and you walk in the room and a suspect fires your head off with a shotgun!

So how could this happened? This was the last suspect to arrest then I'd have completed the misson. But I think I mentioned that before.

Will start A-Bomb next week.

Your teammates take cover in gunfights. You can shoot through doors but only if it's a wooden door.

Sounds pretty cool. If you're too loud the enemies hear you etc.

I have played that mod for awhile and we (clan) decided not to use it anymore, changes too may things plus you could already shoot through doors and enemys can already hear you if your too loud. those two things are already in the retail version, but the mod adjusts them slighty.

Its gas effective zone is now too big also, plus you can have 2 primary weapons like the MP5 and M4 which I dont like. Or use the LTL shotgun and still have MP5, that is a straight out cheat.

The C2 kill zone is also now too big.

Plus lots of people are experiencing crashing problems when they remove it, be carefull.

Not sure didnt try it, never bothered me because I never aim for the feet.

lol. i dunno.. i try to get a perfect rating most of the time. I have to resort to using beanbag shotguns to get a 100 rating.

Any observable results? I've just finished Swat after my PC was broken and I hadn't a backup

Hope the old savings will work with the patch.

Sorry for my double post but the patch has solved a big problem. You can now shoot a suspect into his legs and he's still alive. Without the patch all suspects were being killed.

So check it out boys. I'm now at the library. Really nice level. I unfortunately shot a hostage down because I selected the cuffs but was too far away from him

This level must be nightmare on Elite.

Thank-you VIPERGTSR01!! I saw this topic and didnt even read a single post. I immediately downloaded the demo this afternoon and now im installing the full retail game! I love it. Just my style! Finally something to feed my ravenshield hunger!

No but you can use teamspeak or another voice chat software.

You dont ever need to shoot civs.

If a civ doesnt comply use a less than lethal weapon or order another officer to do it. I always equip pepper spray and a tazer as a secondary, If im playing single player I equip one of my officers with bean bag shotgun.

You can use the less lethal shotgun too. It fires beanbags and it's harmless so civilians do comply.

This crappy computer!

I'm at the library now and my computer reboots suddenly. I've tried the level 10 times. Every time my computer does a rebbot.

I'm really angry now! Every other game runs without those problems! I've the new patch 1.30 installed.

Yeah you're right. I mixed Swat up with Gothic 2. *headshot*

I filled the ram to obviate a ram failure. Well maybe I've to switch to easy mode and kill everyone to get through this great level in time before rebooting.

Or should I try the new 5.8 catalyst? I'll give it a go.
