Is it bad that one of my favorite drives is the stop-and-go traffic of Ocean Drive in Miami at night? To do that in anything remotely "nice" would be awesome...

Nope. The best drive I've been on was WA-99 during rush hour. Traffic is thin enough that you have room to weave going faster than everybody (with plenty of acceleration and braking) yet thick enough that you don't run out of cars.

Yeah, thats not what happens on Ocean drive.

Two lanes of cars, not to mention the rather exotic ones parked on the curb, and a gazillion folks trying to get into nightclubs and eating at the resturants that line the west side of the street. Miami Vice made it look nearly "empty" in some of their episodes, it however is only "clear" on weeknights (and thats a relative issue) or when its raining... And even then, its still pretty packed.

But it is by far one of the coolest roads you can drive on, the whole mile or so of it...

Ocean Drive is sweet. My cousin and I walked up and down it during a trip a few years ago. Would you believe I navigated my way to the road by memory from the map of Vice City?

I have to admit that the first time I went to Miami I had thought of the DRIV3R map. South Beach as I recall in the game was modeled pretty similarly...

Ah yes, maybe it was DRIV3R. I haven't played that in ages. But yeah, it was modeled very closely to Miami.
