I have to ask, what's the point in using lightweight materials for parts that don't actually need to be there? I'm not saying it isn't tasteful, mind you--I'm just curious.
Are they? I never noticed.Replica Mugen wheels? For shame!
Like it nonetheless![]()
Yeah, they have an embedded stamp on one of the spokes. Are they? I never noticed.
Or even race-weight FRP. But translated to Miata hoods, this would be like laying a carbon/kevlar skin over the existing piece. Most carbon hoods for Miata are heavier than the OEM aluminum haha.
I'm missing something. To what are you referring?I'm more concerned about the airbrushed outlines
Whoever the guy did this. He's a legend. Good combo in putting a CF hood on this Skyline.

This gen definitely needs a spoiler. Without one I just cant help to think they look odd. Still love this though.
The big STi wing doesnt fit the car as well as the older models did, but the wrx lip spoiler looks great. This gen definitely needs a spoiler. Without one I just cant help to think they look odd. Still love this though.
Good god
Simply stunning. There's something I want to get out of the way first--the mufflers and tips are a bit much for me, that's it, and the pros outweigh this con--but the wheels (SSR Formula Mesh if I'm not mistaken) aren't oversized and there's still a substantial amount of sidewall, the tires fit under the unmodified fenders easily without a significant amount of camber, there's still plenty of ground clearance and room for wheel travel within the fenders, and the rest of the body has been pretty well left alone. Add to that it's a unique model--they made, what, 500 Aerocabins?--in what appears to be near flawless condition.
Makes it look like it missed out on too much sleep.View attachment 390786
