That's awesome! Hopefully it should be similarly priced here. Looks like I won't have to save up money as hard now.
 
Thanks for the link Camaroboy, some good info in there. What are your plans for a first car? I may get the Saturn Sky for the heck of it if something else doesn't catch my eye.

I will be starting with the 350z, mainly because i dont like saturn interior quality(yes i will be using the dashboard view), and because i like nissans all around.
 
I'm also considering the Miata, RX-8 and the 350Z as well. I think any of the four willl be fun. I'm just hoping that you can store every car in the game. Given that there is an achievement for buying your 15th house (wow...) I'd think there would be enough room. I really like how they decided to start the game though. Choosing your avatar at the airport, arriving at Oahu and getting a rental car.

I'd like to know how they are going to include all of the dealerships. I've found an empty dealership that says "Classic Europeean", so apparently some places will sell multiple marques. I'd guess that there will be one bike dealer due to the limited number of motorcycles, and some of the smaller manufacturers (Ruf, TVR, etc) might have combined lots.

Speaking of dealerships, does anyone know if that Lambo dealer in the demo is there in real life? It would be cool if they put all of the real dealerships in the game. It probably isn't since there isn't a name on it though.

As I understand it, the dealerships are located in their "real" locations. Probably only one of each, though. Oahu's a big island, I'm sure there's more than one Ford dealer on the real island, but game probably has only one.

What do you mean by "name", though? Bob's Discount Lamborghini? Fabio's Fantasic Ferraris? :)

I think it's safe to say that any dealer that has a name in real life probably doesn't have it in the game, since they'd have to license it from the dealer.

I'll try and see how realistic they got them by having Logan see what dealership is on the Lamborghini of Hawaii lot in Honolulu.
 
I will tell you now, there are zero places selling TVR's there.

I'm glad the RS4 is in-game, but I look forward to tuning the RS4 in-game.

I don't want to turn this into a debate, but why do you think the UK does? It's not like us Americans automatically have control over who gets a game first.
 
Last night was sooo much fun. I met up with _aj and a couple other people online in this demo. We laughed so hard and had a blast playing the demo online together. This game is going to be incredible. We were doing hill climbs, top speed battles, checked out the lighthouse and just had soo much fun. At one point we had 4 GT500s all tearing up the street! :sly:

I couldnt believe how fun this game is online. I really could not believe it. :dopey: Soo much better online than just driving around in the demo. 👍
The regular demo is not that good but online is sooo much fun.

I'm in love with that road leading out to the lighthouse and apparently a house you can buy. Pretty good road for drifting with the Shelby or just flying as fast as you can with the other two.

I didnt notice there was a house out there you could buy. I will have to check that out some time. That island is so huge and its only the demo. :dopey: I still havent driven around the entire demo yet. And I spent about 3 hours online last night driving all over the place. Even smashing into cars with no cops coming. Sooo much fun.

There's another house you can buy in the demo? :eek:
 
I don't think you can buy it in the demo, but in vids and screens you can see that house near the lighthouse is one you can buy in the full game.
 
This game is like GTA but online. Oh and you cant get out of your car and steal someone elses car. The concept is close to the same though. Buy houses, buy character upgrades, buy cars. I just cant wait!! I am glad _aj showed us how to play online together last night. I really couldnt believe how much fun it was. Way better than just playing the demo offline.
 
Here's a little pic of when the 3 of us got together to admire the view next to the lighthouse ....where we then promptly followed cobra down the hill crashing into trees and flying into the sea ...as you do.
