Yeah, hes online right now, but it says away...

Why is it that so many people in this game have no Mics?

Well, I got my Wifi adapter. Gamertag is SimplyBenny if you wanna cruise. Add it to yo friends and im downloadin the free cars as we speak.

well the races with mclaren and gt were good today,my digital cameras batterys ran out so only got a couple on my phone, that CCR does haul once it gets up and going :D also managed to get my mclaren F1 to top 273mph :scared: you missed all the fun jason!
anyways video whoring time  found a great bit of road!

Damn 273mph! Is the new macca the fastest car in the game now then? Id say its definetly the fastest from point to point. doing 250 plus mph in it is real easy to control.

Matthetuner whats your gamertag? Was just cruising a little while with TVR fan, took me ages to find him.

I've reached 290mph in it before it hit the limiter. I wouldn't say it is the quickest point-to-point, as the standard car still accelerates a little quicker until much higher speeds, but it's still a very good car.

Poverty, Mattthetuner and Holden, what are your gamer tags?

I'm KillerMRK2 :) I'm probably not going to be on that much, seeing as I'm going to be in a car for the better part of two days...:scared: But, i do have a wireless internet adaptor...:D

bennyrrr, just so you know, I was the one talking to you earlier (GranTurismo1).

You are another witness to the all mighty lag and problems I'm getting...

And that's the first time I've chatted from an invite, actually. I'm still not too sure how that invite chat system works. Probably very simple, though.

Poverty I don't know why you were lagging in front and behide me, last time I saw you on TDU.

@ G.T I saw the lag problems you had a while ago, anyway what is you're ISP, also have you turned off any hardware firewall or opened any ports on you're router if you have one.

As I've said a few times now, we have a wireless router, and we're with NTL on 2mb Broadband. It is a little more stable now, since we've all stopped any usage of bandwidth while playing the game, but it's still a little bad, especially when many players are around and talking. We are upgrading to 4mb early January, so hopefully that will make a difference. I posted this issue on the Atari forums, and everyone that posted has much faster internet, and I'm sure NTL aren't cappying our upload speed, so this upgrade should theoretically work. I don't have lag problems with any other games unless the family are using the internet on another PC heavily.

I opened some ports the other day, with some help (MistaX's), but that made no difference. And I'm not going as far as disabling firewalls, especially as my father's own PC is having quite a bad virus problem at the moment.

You should use a cable with you're router, because it's better for online gaming.

You mean plugging the cable directly into the console, right?

I would if it were physically possible - but it isn't.

Yeah you were lagging for me too. Odd that.

Plug one end of an eithernet cable into the back of you're console, and then plug the other end into you're router.

As I said, it's not physically possible. Our router is 20ft away. Cables streching to the console through the house is a no-no.

You could buy something to place the cable along some of you're house skirting boards, just like something, which you can do with phone cables. But the things I am talking about are like clip type.

Oh, I see. So you have to buy the Christmas Pack and the future #3 Pack for that mode to work, then?

IGN must have pulled the artical. I cant find it now, but they said it was out and they had screen shots of the telemetry or somehting like that with tires added to the HUD.

I have the download packs alredy dispite them sucking i had had MS points to spend.

Eh?

Surely you can put a cable from the console to the router?
