Im yet to play TDU on any other systems, but from what people say its much better than PS2. Im back to TDU'ing for a while. Im on quite a fair bit nowadays, but i might get Pro Street today, it'll decide whether or not Ill be on TDU anymore.

Okey, does Driving Force Pro work in TDU PS2-version? And sorry my bad english :(.
No, no steering wheel works in the PS2 version of TDU. You're stuck to the DS2.

There's nothing wrong with your English.

Welcome to GTP.

Regarding my old post here, I got PS :) I guess ill be leaving TDU alone for a while. But ill probably get attracted back to this game when i get bored of PS :guilty:

Okay, so apparrently this thread is still sort of alive, so I hope you can solve my problem. The people at another website never answered and I posted on October 10...

I finally manage to get online, and I get to the DNAS screen where it says "Authenticating DNAS Data" but then it freezes.

have you tried rebooting your modem?

yes! Can you not get the 288 gto on ps2 version?

There's Ferraris or Maseriatis on the PS2 version. 👎

Not that i can remember of. The PS2 version is crap compared to the rest :(

PSP version is the worst, the PS2 at least has cockpit view and decent graphics.

But you're right, PC & 360 versions > PS2 & PSP versions.

Fixed. I once saw a screeny of the PSP version showing some cars, and the PS2 version wasnt much better. Does anyone think this'll come on PS3 with way more cars and better graphics?

My bad.

Anyway I think if Atari made a PS3 version of TDU, it'd be quite the game with amazing graphics and probably the same amount of cars as the 360 version.

I've rented it again. I'm almost inclined to find a used version of Test Drive Unlimited and complete this game as much as I can. I have progressed much further than my last go-round with this game, even though I had to start a brand new game. Here is an updated overview of my TDU experience.

* I have about 500,000+ Master Points. It means I'm an Expert in the game. I have a beautiful house that holds eight cars. I may move from western Oahu Island to favor a beautiful modern house in eastern Oahu Island that also has an eight-car maximum. There was a mountainous stretch of road in west central Oahu Island that (and I swear) would make one hell of a touge course! I actually got drift crazy running that winding stretch of road. There's actually another one, but where it is fails me. I am even more immersed into the game. Just the culture and living the good life on Oahu Island is just stellar. Good life, great cars, an unmatched experience in ANY game... including the Gran Turismo series.

* The fastest car I have is the Lamborghini Murciélago in a sky blue color. I was torn between a dark blue and a sky blue. I even thought about getting that gold color for the Lambo. Other cars I have... I have a Caterham that I won by completing some series. I re-painted it to Viper Blue. Man, it's a beautiful color for this car! Blue is my color. * One problem with it- it can be unstable to keep together. So that's why I have the Lotus Exige Sport 240R with yellow outside and inside. I need a good E-class car just to stay fresh. I did have a newer Mustang. My new muscle car is a classic Chevy Camaro Z-28. It's my E-Class competitor. * I thought I had the best Noble credits can buy when I had the Noble M12 GTO. Meet the Noble M400. I never realized these Nobles have Ford V6 engines. That's why I was surprised when I was called up to join the Six Shooters Club when I got my Noble. One hell of a V6 car, I'll tell you that! * Most recent car I won was the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. To be honest, I never really liked the Cobra Daytona. Doesn't mean, however that the Shelby built by Texas' own, Caroll Shelby, could make such a wicked car. I'm looking to give this car more performance in TDU to really shine. * I had a tough time looking for cars to sell just to not have my number of cars go over quota. I needed a car that cost more than what I had heading into the dealer, but no more than two cars I wanted to sell. Meet my high-class Aston Martin.

* I'm at 16% complete. I'm thinking more than ever that Test Drive Unlimited really is a "generational leap in racing games since Gran Turismo." Just how immersive the environment is and to amazing everything is put together. I had dislike for this statement at first, but now I have greater apprecation. I'm not extremely hard to be pleased. The whole package is just amazing and enticing. I'm a bit saddened the PS2 version doesn't feature motorcycles. This is still a wonderful experience. I just can't wait to get one of those expensive houses with 10 cars, preferably the one that has some glass roof parts and a little palm tree in the garage (you'll know which one I'm talking about if you visit the very first realtor in the game).

I may end up buying this game used. Such a wonderful experience overall.
