Just ran test twice: 1.2 MB sec first time and 1.7 MB sec second time:cool::D

Only 212kilobits per second here.. But i have a feeling ill get better speed once i restart my com n unlug the modem for a few mins...

Ill try again later :)

I got 115K per second... but i am on a T1 with 800 other people

from work, on a 384k DSL I get...146.8kb per second

1mb in 57.2 seconds.

I'll have to try again after hours and see what comes up.

Why dont you get cable? it only takes about 5 secs for gtplanet to load IF THAT!...

Well seeing as I'm getting dsl in 3 days, I might as well do a before and after:

Well I ran the test on my 56k V.92 modem... heres the results..
42.1 kilobits per second
Details
Your raw speed was 42142.43 bits per second which is the same as:
Communications 42.1 kilobits per second
Storage 5.1 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 3.3 minutes

My connection speed was 48000 bps, but I usually top out at 49333 bps, and in rare instances, at 50000 bps or higher(Ive seen it a total of 3 or 4 times).

Where can i find some tweak test? The test at dslreports.com dosnt work.

1.2 mbs on a T1, my work comp. I'll have to try it at home with my cable connection.

we got the same exact thing, I also have a T1. I guess thats good.

Hmm.

Well I am sharing with another 100+ people at work and im looking at someones workstation via remote-controll, but its not too shabby.

Your raw speed was 1200038.74 bits per second which is the same as:

Communications

1.2 megabits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and
mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit
Ethernet

Storage

146.5 kilobytes per second
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how file sharing
and FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega
is 1,048,576.

1MB file download

7 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this
speed.

This is from my school's T1 network on Netscape

757.9 kilobits per second

Damned T1 overhead...
