I dont understand how i have a speed like that with DSL. All i did was installed SP1 and RASPPPOE. I thought i would have a speed of 600kb but 50megs a sec....DAMN.
 
Communications: 43.1 kilobytes per second
Storage: 5.3 kilobytes per second
1 MB download takes 3.2 minutes (3 minutes 12 seconds)
 
dredknot, that speed isn't possible with DSL. You either edited that image or hit the refresh button in your browser while viewing your connection results page (it will often return erraneous results if you don't enter the information through the form again because it will instead use the cached image from your hard drive to evaluate download speed).
 
I only edited the size and i cut off my I.P. i didnt hit refresh. Ill run the test again and will see what i get.
 
This is what i got. My ISP sed my speed would be around 10megs

Wow... 21.1 kb/second... at least it's a slight improvement over my desktop's 56k modem (I'm using the built-in modem here)... and some of you guys think that you have it bad! :p

Jeebers, do you know how much I'd give to be able to download 1 MB in 2 seconds? It currently takes me 6-7 minutes to do so... pain in the rear end to have to cease my Internet activity for a while just to download some wallpaper. Ugh. :D

Are you runing XP? bcuz you have to install SP1 for the java applets to work right.
 
1.4 mbps... only 30 bucks a month.. another reason to love vegas ^_^

I also pay $30.00 a month, for 1.5-3mbps cable. :)
