The 2010 NASCAR caption competition - Congratulations TS - OPEN SEASON!

Ladies and gentlemen and furry animals, it is time for the most famous caption competition in all of motorsport!

Well not yet but starting on the 6th of February, to give you all a bit of light relief while Formula 1 caption competition is going, it is time to reveal it's rival in the 2010 picture competition awards

Basically, it works under the same principal as the F1 caption competition but with a few differences.

The first major change is going to be you are only going to be allowed ONE caption per picture so that means that there is even more emphasis for you to get it right first time.

Another rule is that you have to get your captions to me via PM before the deadline. You can still post your captions on this thread but the final entry must come to me

Instead of awarding points to the top three, we are going to be awarding points to the top ten positions with 10 for first and so on down to 1 point for coming in tenth. Make it a bit more of an open championship

There will be a special non-points round for the start of the season and the All-Star race where only previous winners of this caption competition AND the formula 1 caption competition will be allowed to enter to see who is crowned the "All-Star caption winner" or some title along that line.

As soon as we have twenty six out of the way, we will be going forward to the "Chase For The NASCAR Caption Competition" with the top twelve in points going forward. That doesn't mean everyone should stop because you could still win and qualify the next year's All-Star Caption competition AND the Budweiser Caption contest as well. Those who have qualified for the Chase will have their scores rounded to the nearest one hundred as far as the first place leader is concerned and have ten points added for everyone caption week they have won.

New rules for voting are as follows:

If you send in a caption, you are automatically required to send in a vote, either by PM or by posting in this thread.

You now have the power of three points to vote with and you can decide who gets the votes and how you split the votes.

In the event of a tie, we will be going to the countback and seeing who has recieved the most first or second places to decide. In the event of a total dead heat, co-winners will be declared and the NASCAR Caption Competition moderator will overrule everyone and put a neutral picture to start all over again.

DEADLINES:

Captioning: to happen between the end of the Sprint Race and the beginning or either the Truck race/Nationwide Race
Voting: to take place between the beginning of the Truck race/Nationwide race and the beginning of the Sprint race
Nex Caption: always at the end of the Sprint Race

All results will be put underneath to relay any history and i guess the only thing left to say is boogety-boogety-boogety, let's go captioning boys!
