The almighty VW Beetle 1200 '66, what are you going to do first?

I hadn't noticed that before. I just put on a Mid-RPM (stage 2) turbo, and while it does give 3 more HP, the HP and torque peaks are at ~2500 rpm and drop quickly after that, whereas the High-RPM turbo's HP & torque both peak near 4000 rpm in a more gradual curve.

But with the mid rpm you get a lot more torque (10??kgfm extra) than the high rpm. You really have to play with the gearing though to make it work and get that big punch of acceleration.

I've had a bit of success with a rally setup using the mid rpm but think I need to check out the tuning forums to make it more effective. Rallying was pretty hopeless with the high rpm turbo - maybe I needed closer gearing to keep it in the torque/power range.

Back OT, I've now got three. One standard, one road car in a pearlescent orange, max tuned with normal spoiler, and another for rally setup (as above) with the silly spolier, in a pale blue with black bonnet. Looks OK with the dirt rims.

This car is a right laugh, fully tune it, put camber at 10 on the back with racing soft tyres and it spends most of it's time on 2 wheels around a track.

First thing I did was buy another one, in Black, put every mod available on it, including the bumper removal and the smaller of the two wings, changed wheels, and went and beat up on a bunch of "better" modern cars with it in the Euro Hot Hatch seasonals, earning a bunch of credits on the Eiffel circuit - 400,000 in just over five minutes (5:15.xxx, to be exact). That's a payout of nearly 80,000cr/min, which ain't bad. One race paid for everything I did to my li'l super-bug, and then some! Thanks, you awesome little Beetle of Epicness! :D

In all honesty it'll do that even without the camber! :) I had mine jacked up in the back a bit, because that's how I remember the "hot rod" Beetles looking back in the day - lowered in front, raised in back - and I spent a *bunch* of time going around the Eiffel circuit on two wheels! I dropped the arse on the car and settled it down quite a bit, so there's that...

Forget about keeping one for stockness purposes. I painted mine a brilliant shade of (DLC) metallic yellow as soon as I got and may end up debuting a tune shop with it... (heh, as if)

Will someone post a link to a video with a mildly tuned Beetle on stock suspension and comfort tyres being driven hard, but not in the popular tyre smoking drift stylee?

Hello, I have this video from my streaming channel on Twitch.

http://pt.twitch.tv/osadam/b/305946827

Have it fully tuned and using second turbo, tried to lower it because it was always trying to roll but I'm not very good at fine tuning.

You can watch me use it on the new madrid seasonal and at the 1 hour mark trying to do a hot lap at Nur with 2 wheel drift, really fun to drive.

Edit: Also show 2 pics of the car on two wheels at the 1:20min mark.
