I love to play games on the computer, it's my console. I play gt2 on PS1, but is there any game special made for the computer? Has anyone ripped a version and made it compatible? I've heard it can be done?

Just download an Emuator like do a search for EPSXE and you'll need to download a PS1 Bios which if you give me your email address i can send you one Like SCPH1001.bin And from there its pretty self explanatory :) :) :) :) :) :)

Alright sure, the email is Greg_Kopoian22@hotmail.com

Is the game good for PC? Graphics improved?

Will I start from scratch or will a savegame be necessary?

never done any of this so instructions are GREATLY appreciated

Yes, there's a few topics about the ePSXe already...

You don't need a saved game, unless you don't want to start from scratch...

Check the link on my sig, for an example of a ePSXe/ePSXeCutor configuration to play GT2 ;)

thanks for the link, that should come in handy...

I'm going to sound like a huge noob here...but thats because in this subject I am! Never even done anything like this.

Do I just use my playstation disk? I can't becuse its a different type of disk correct?

The Japanese version comes with the NSX i love, is the whole game in chinese? ie: Garage, city names, car names? Im questioning getting a chinese version...

Yes, you can use your Playstation disc, but the best way is to create an image of it and use that image.

You don't need to have a Japanese version to play with the cars only available on the Japanese version. You just need a saved game with those cars, then you can convert it to your version and use them ;)
All the cars are in the game, they're just hidden.

Wow this sounds like its going to be tough to do! I've never done anything like it...is this hard to do?

That depends on how good you're with PCs... for some people it's a piece of cake, to others it can be a nightmare...

If you already have the emulator, plugins and bios (beware that it's only legal to have a bios of the PSX version you own, and it's not allowed to post links to bios and roms on these boards), i recommend you to get a software like Alcohol 120% to make a CD image and use it instead of the CD itself. If you have problems with this you can skip it for now and configure ePSXe to use your real CD.

To configure ePSXe just look at the link i gave you (my sig) and if all goes fine you won't need anything else to start playing GT2 on PC.

oh boy, i dont think i can do all this. I have no clue...is there anything to help me along or do i have to know what to do?

Batman i sent the bios so this will help a ton and save time cuz the bios is next to impossible to find on the internet

Comparing the last 7 days temps in your town and mine, i see a max temp of 31ºC (88ºF) in your town and a max of 40ºC (104ºF) in my town so... i won the hottest town cup! I deserve my icecream!!! :p

haha thats weird cause thats not what the temp is sayin..but i will crown you the champion don't worry....I was golfing as Bruce Obviously, the batsuit is not proper golf attire!

Also guys, i have to thank you so much for all your help. helping me getting PSX emultor running..I can't thank you enough for all the detail you used...the guides helped so much, and everything you guys did was awesome...

I am using it with no problem with these plugin:
Pete's D3D driver
P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.9
ePSXe CDR ASPI core 1.5.2.
Scph1001.bin bios

svtsnake
i tried your setup and it still crashes...
When it crash?
when you press ctrl+h during playing or during send cheat to plugin ?

The obvious solution would be to not cheat...

I don't use cheats until I've at least beaten a game on normal difficulty first.

well, I use cheat to make it easier to get the car that I want (GT2, not price car, rare slow car) to drive around, just enter the code, buy it on daihatsu garage .........
