As the title suggests, imagine taking the best cars in the game, for a drive on the World's best driving roads :bowdown::D

Everyone has a favorite I'm sure and can think of many more.

They could be under 30 minutes go to whoa or require a save halfway or part of the way through.

  • Pacific Coast Highway, USA
  • The Atlantic Road, Norway
  • Tianmen Mountains Road, Hunan, China
  • Seven Mile Bridge, Florida Keys
  • Chapman's Peak Drive, Cape Town, South Africa
  • Stelvio Pass, Eastern Alps, Italy
  • Col de Turini, France
  • Guoliang Tunnel Road, China
  • Denali Highway, Alaska
  • Karakoram Highway, China/Pakistan
  • Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia
  • Ruta 40, Argentina
  • Going-to-the-Sun-Road, Glacier National Park, Montana
  • Dades Gorges, High Atlas, Morocco
  • U.S Route 550 "The Million Dollar Highway", Colorado
  • Trollstigen, Rauma, Norway
  • The Amalfi Coast, Italy
  • Transfagarasan, Romania
Options could include:
  • Time Trials at the posted speed limit with penalties/tickets for going over :indiff: :irked: :mad: :banghead: 🤬
  • No speed limits :scared:
  • Weather/Time change :nervous:
  • Reverse direction

@Pete05, you have put a lot of thought into this great list!

Adding a turnaround area at each end would appeal to me, allowing me to practice without losing my stride.

Are there any such great roads which have the ability to handle traffic in both directions at the same time? I'm guessing they'd only be suitable for point to point, but here's hoping....

I thought of the traffic option as well but that'd be a monumental job to do.
Maybe traffic in the same direction would be easier but passing would hardly be a penalty if nothing is coming the other way over that hill:eek: :crazy: :yuck: :scared:
 
"Collisions Off" is an acceptable solution for me.

EDIT: @Pete05, with a turnaround at each end and Collisions OFF, the excitement of head on passing-through-ghosts would be a cause for Whoops and Hollers!

I used to do this in Forza. If I was capable of pulling out a long enough lead over a mate on the 'Ring, I'd "chuck a u-ey", and return towards him at full speed watching the mini-map to gauge the timing of the surprise. :eek: The usual result was a shout of "🤬" followed by an excursion off-track.:sly:

Let's not forget a couple of the best US roads: Route 66 and the Tail of the Dragon.

I could see the turnaround being a great way to have an uphill/downhill race. Race up, turn around the cone and race back down.

I've done my homework haven't I :lol:.
Couldn't possibly be all of them though. There's plenty of roads with boring straight bits & terrain as flat as a pancake but full of amazing scenery but they hardly make what I would call a drivers road. They would be perfect as a passenger with a window seat on a bus :lol:
 
May I suggest the Penser-Joch-Straße SS 508? A relatively steep and narrow mountain pass, few hairpin corners,
ofc great scenery and has a nice flow to it. It is connecting Bolzano and Sterzing, 46km long, highest elevation is 2,211m.

ofc great scenery and has a nice flow to it. It is connecting Bolzano and Sterzing, 46km long, highest elevation is 2,211m.

That's exactly what I'm looking for too. It has to be done 100% right or don't bother.
A lot of time & dedication but it'd make for many, many hours of awesome behind the wheel action.

It's probably stretching the imagination, to expect a great road of length, like the entire Pacific Coast Highway to come in one hit so it'd be better if they started with some of the shorter distance suggestions.

For the longer drives it'd make one very popular update/DLC pack :bowdown:
