That time was quite lucky for me and I don't think the MR2 has that much left to give but im still pushing it. maybe i can get it to a 8'30 or 8'28 something like that.. im just waiting for it to suprise me again ;)

Dont give up on the Silvia im sure she can do an 8'30 or less!

I wont give up on her, dont worry. She's capable of 8'30 and faster, but its a case of me being able to treat her the way she wants, which isnt happening right now I think. :nervous:

I'll give her some more miles after college tomorrow. :sly:

Haha maybe your getting tired, thats the case with me im spinning more and making more mistakes, but im still trying to get one fast lap in before I go to bed lol.
The chassis on my MR2 is feeling like jelly it needs one of those body refresher plan things but i cant because i got to stick to the 20 000 Cr limit :D.
I love my car even though its got 54000 miles and only got 163hp. It's doing me proud :).

Ok i ran another car.

Toyota Corolla LEVIN GT-APEX '83 (AE86) cr 5375
Changed the oil cr 50
Fitted a racing exhaust/air filter cr 4500
Then added a stage 1 turbo cr 4500
And a Racing chip cr 1000
Then a Twin plated clutch cr 2500
plus a Racing Flywheel cr 900
then threw out the back seats (my garden's getting untidy) cr 1000
and washed it (every little helps) cr 50

Which i make as 19,875cr altogether.
This gave me 179BHP

So i ran 2 more laps: 8'12.997
Its faster than my Civic! (how dare you!!)
So i will now go and transfer these pix from my fone to the bucket, then upload the linx, be back in a bit with the picture edit.

Wow a Levin ran a 8'12? Thats like really quick. Thanks those times are now official and I will update the leaderboard!

Clue: It's PINK and it's TURBO'D

Ouch x2, thats one fast Levin

I might actually go to sleep now, I could do with a nice sleep. Night all. 👍

I was thinking of making a Toyota Corolla LEVIN GT-APEX '83 (AE86) cr 5375 because of how light it is but I didn't think it would be that fast. I am going to try one out. I'm still working on a Civic. I am about 6 to 7 seconds behind you with my Civic. I'm going to work on it more tomarrow.

Toyota Celica 2000GT-Four (ST165) '86.....12,415cr

Semi-Racing Flywheel..................................550cr

When I got this lap it came out of no where. I was running laps in the low 8'30s and then I just had a great lap. I tried for 3 more laps to beat this time and I couldn't come within 4 seconds of it again. This car drives like a stock Impreza or Evo so it is extremely easy to drive. It has 200hp.

Nice.. I got a new car too :)

I cant seem to get under 8'27 with my Silvia now for some reason im still working on it I know it can get under 8'20 I just need to sort out the understeer problems :-/

Yeah I know my car will do better but I just can't get it to. I am thinking of ditching the RX-7 and going for a different car. I'm really trying to beat that 8'12.997 set by VEXD.

Im trying to beat my own times at the moment.. then I might find a car that performs really well and go for the record 👍

This nurbie hater (LOL) tried another car - this time FR - for an improvement over the FF Mitsubishi. I came up with this:

Nissan Skyline HT 2000 Turbo RS '83 (initial weight: 1175kg)

08812 purchase price
00050 oil (resulting power: 199hp)
01200 wing
01100 wr1 (new weight: 1104kg)
05300 wr2 (new weight: 1069kg)
03100 sports suspension
00430 sports flywheel
19942 total price

First attempt at a round gave a 8'54.930 with 1 off/slight wall touch. Remember i really S*CK at driving this track so it's prolly not that bad :)

Quite disappointed with the difference in feel over the Mitsui. Actually the FF car felt much more stable and predictable and even faster ... Maybe I should have bought the Sports Soft tyres instead of the second weight reduction ...

Don't worrry just keep on trying! you will get quicker the more you learn the track. I started with terrible lap times but now I have learnt the track a bit I have managed to get way faster!
Keep it up 👍

I hit Silvia's limit I think, maybe I can get a second faster, but thats it.

8.31.867

Going to look for a new car, nothing has caught my eye though...

I just got my s13 to a 8'23 but its struggling to get any quicker.. I just bought a Trueno and maybe I can get some good times because its light and its a FR :D

What about an '83 or '84 Skyline with R1 or R2 tires?

I broke 9 minutes with the '83 on R2s. (had enough money for oil change, just got below 200hp).
I was slightly slower with the '84 (tried R2s before trying oil change and R1s (which I never actually did), so it was well below 200hp; R2 + oil change was just over Cr20,000 for the instance I bought).

But I only did those two laps. And good players can generally take 30 seconds or so off my Nürburgring times.

I'm in Mission Hall right now, trying to finish the last 1.7%. (Or at least 1.5%)
So if someone else wants to run with this idea, they're welcome to.

Year 8, April 20 for the '83, and Year 8, April 21 for the '84, BTW.
Not sure what that becomes mod 700 days.

Any car is allowed as long as it fits the power and budget criteria.
Practice makes perfect :D
Im just finishing my AE86 should get some times up soon. 👍

I'm thinking about a '88 S13 K's, it'll be lighter, more powerful and allow more modifications for the money than the S14 Q's.

Infact I have one here for Cr.6,600, in a nice green/grey 2tone. Buying. :D

New car, new shopping list.

Nissan Silvia K's 1800cc (S13) '88 - Cr.6,600
Oil change - Cr.50
Weight reduction stage 1 - Cr.1,000
S3 tyres - Cr.5,600
Stage 1 turbo - Cr.4,500
Chip - Cr.1,000
Racing flywheel - Cr.900
Spent - Cr.19,650
Left - Cr.350

BHP: 200

Time to go to the Nurburgring again :D

EDIT: First lap of driving this new Silvia, and I took a second off VEXD's time!

8'11.917

Gonna do a few more laps, I'm certain I can get into the 8'0x.xxx region!

WOW thats great! I really cannot find a car that suits my driving.. the Hachi Roku is fast around corners but the differential is terrible it just spins the inside wheel going around 2nd gear turns :(. I cant squeeze anything out of my Silvia and the old MR2 is great but it hasnt got enough power on the straights!. I guess its time to go car shopping again *sigh*

[[UPDATE]]

4.SliderMan-8'24.919- Nissan Silvia K's 1800cc (S13) '88

WHO WILL BE THE FIRST INTO THE 7'S?

Nice idea... I'm off shopping! :D

Be back later with some sort of results, lol.

The S13 is redlining in 5th, doing 142mph, but not hitting the fuel cutoff. It does feel more lively than the S14, but the tyres are keeping it on the road fine. Although because its so light, its easier to throw it off course when I hit kerbs badly. :ouch:

The older Silvia's are definately good value for their performance. :) Their suspension is spot on from the factory.

Mine gets to 144 but i put semi race suspension on it. mine seems to understeer quite badly but my next car is gonna be a small, quick FF.. see how it does :)
