Agreed. Sander Hogendoorm was the best from them, thanks. Richards was definitely not for me lol.

Sander's doesn't rotate because the coast ramp angle is at 20 degrees putting the power (or in this case the compression) on the ground less where he has drive ramp angle at 85 degrees putting the power to the ground with more pressure, I can only get a setup to work for half the track because half is flat and half is banked. however Richard's has 70 degrees of coast ramp angle allowing the compression to get to the ground slowing the rears faster and allowing the car to rotate, often too much, that's my problem is it's either too much or too little, and I can't find a happy medium

The tune i used from Menzies last week also works well for me at Laguna. I find it well balance throughout the lap

edit: Im sticking with last week tune. Its stable and i now what to except. Haven't done enough laps with Sander Hogendoorm tune and its giving me some sneaky surprises which be race enders.

what a race, left I don't know if you noticed but we had a pretty funny battle there, I'd spin, you'd spin, i catch up and it went that way the entire race, I pitted and it took me 10 laps to catch up and I nailed the wall right as I passed you I ended up finishing 11.3 seconds behind you

Another good race today. I had the same exact results as last week . Started 4th finished 3rd. I was closer to the leader which I guess is a good thing, but still way off. I know I've asked this a couple times already, but where and when are the points going to be posted? I'd like to see where everyone stands after 2 weeks now.

The race was full of ups and downs for me. I spun in the last corner, blowing a pole lap, so I started second. Quali was very close, so I was excited for the race. Despite using a button clutch (my actual clutch is broken), I shot out of a cannon and took the lead going into the first corner. I was maintaining a 1.5 to 2.0 second gap between me and Darryl for several laps but he slowly reeled me in. The two of us were pretty much even so I was trying to get away with everything I had.

On lap 12 we caught up to Darren. Darryl was right up my exhaust pipe and due to this pressure I made a bad decision when deciding when to try and clear Darren. As a result, Darren and I made contact and I received damage. I tried to hold Darryl off but I was too slow and unstable with the damage and he easily passed me a few laps later. After that I just coasted to the end.

Quali was close, the fastest lap was close, and the race was close. I'm a bit disappointed I wasn't a able to finish the fight with Darryl to the end. Looking forward to the next race.

Good win Darryl!

I see that the poll is open until June 15. Are we going to wait that long to decide on the final track?
No one else is giving any love to Suzuka.
I hope Spa wins out over Motegi.

Ya we battled back and forth most of the race, I was going to pit as well. I was taken out on approximately lap 10-12, Josh tried to pass me on the last turn which clearly is not a place to pass. Anyway my front end was damaged and lost about 30% of my steering. It is already tough enough for me to steer at the best of times.

I was alright once I got up to speed but as soon as I started to slow down my car's front end acted like a bucking bronco. Most every corner I had to step on the gas as well as the brake just to keep my car in a straight line.

I had a lot of fun for the most part, sorry to the one racer that felt I was ignoring blue flags, I did my best to stay out of the way.

Thank you Jav for hosting this series, this is my first series at iRacing and it is giving me valuable experience.

I rode the clutch a bit to much at start so i had to defend at the 1st corner then I span out on lap 2 on the cork screw which put me way back, I managed to get back up to 4th so was able to get some decent points, my maths arent all that good but I think im still just about in 2nd place in the standings roughly 6 or so points behind but still very close in the point standings from 1st to 3rd,but thats just a calculated rough guess and i am probably wrong on that so dont quote me on this looking foward to next Sundays race.

Summit Point is alot of fun in the Caddy. Did some practice with it back during the 13th week there and it was a blast. Passing will be difficult most likely as the track is fairly narrow for this car.

I don't believe we are using the chicane anymore. Just hasn't been updated in the OP.

Thanks for the congrats on the race win. I actually wasn't going to do the race. We had people over for a party/cookout and didn't think I was going to race. A few people thought it'd be cool to watch, so we had a small audience.

Not a bad race. I enjoyed it. I was just planning on sitting in 3rd place and save my tires till the last few laps. Got lucky with 2nd place spinning out of corkscrew and then a really weird incident with the leader and a lapper. Looking forward to the the next round.👍

Well it really wasn't that weird you went to the right of me and Josh try to dive bomb me on the left on the last corner, if he had only let me turn the corner I would have gotten out of his way, instead he caused considerable damage to my front end resulting in you passing him.

Blue Flag (blue with diagonal yellow stripe) – Indicates faster cars are approaching. This flag is informational only. In all cases, it is the responsibility of the faster car to safely overtake the slower car. It is the responsibility of the slower car to maintain a consistent line. It is strongly recommended that a slower car being lapped makes every reasonable effort to facilitate a safe pass

I have been racing in online leagues here and on iracing for years and have a reputation for being a fair, considerate driver with good racing etiquette. There is a difference between not knowing the rules and making the wrong decision when in a high pressure situation (a car 3 to 4 seconds slower per lap in front of you and a GT Academy finalist less than 1 second behind you). I'm not going publicly defend my case here. Anyone who is interested can watch the replay and judge for themself.

Unless someone besides Left wants to chime in, I'm just going to pretend this entire thing never happened from this point onward.

It has to be the spring rates we have, 650lbs is definitely way too soft for a car this heavy! That has to be some kind of mistake, do this cars use the stock suspension points?

I don't think I noticed any bottoming out with the setup I was using, so maybe the guy who did it figured it out! I'll post it up here tomorrow!

The spring rates are fine, actually. You just need really firm shocks and ARB tuning for each track.

I was thinking that I wouldn't like this car-track combination, but oh man was I wrong. I'm using that Okayama setup I posted ages ago and it handles beautifully here.

It's amazing how much more nimble the Cadi feels with low(er) fuel. The front tires have so much more bite. I never experienced that in GT5. In GT5 my lap times were slower but the car's handling characteristics didn't feel very different when going from fuel to low fuel.

Well if you consider it slinging mud so be it. If it's an apology you want why didn't you just ask for it the first time instead of treating me like I should have moved over as soon as you entered my space. After all your first PM to me you asked me "Don't you use F3 to see when the leaders are behind you? What about the blue flags? "

Apparently you think the rules don't apply to you so you just dive bombed me out of the way. Are you telling me I don't know the rules? I posted the blue flag rule for you so you can learn from your mistake and btw it was you that made the mistake. I know I am not the fastest racer here and frankly I don't care but because of your mistake you ruined my race. I can live with that, I have seen your kind of racer often in iRacing, you are fast and you don't care about anything but winning even if you have to ruin someone else's race.

I haven't seen the video, nor was I in the race. But I am not sure why Josh(Nastradamus) is being called out in the forums. The only place this should be discussed is in private messages between the drivers, and in private messages with Jav (if neccessary).

Furthermore, taking private message conversations and posting them in the forums is completely inappropriate.

I appreciate that Jav has put this series together for us. What a great way to join together the GTP members that run on the iRacing service. This series should build up our community. I just hope the maturity level can be higher for the rest of the series.

Racing incidents do occur. And obviously the leader would never purposely cause a collision with a back marker, thus ruining his chances at victory.
