This is where we put our driving skills to the test, every 2 weeks a car will be chosen to take on a race in the POLYPHONY DIGITAL CUP.

The winner from the previous round gets the right to choose the next car.

Every 4th round of the NO-TUNE CHALLENGE, there will be an event using VISION GRAN TURISMO cars. The cars that will be selected are VGT cars that can't be tuned. They will be raced at another event/track.

As you can't tune vehicles in this event, it focuses on our driving ability not our tuning ability.

Race 1, Tsukuba - go your hardest / no replay needed, but send then in.

Race 2, Twin Ring Motegi East Course - will remain but the winner of this round has to send me a replay of the winning time showing they didn't cut any of these corners.

it will be judged by me and me only, so PM me the replay. If the winner can not show me a replay then 2nd will win but again they will need to send me a replay.
SO EVERYONE SAVE YOUR BEST TIME REPLAYS.
Please send me the replay before the rounds end so I can keep things moving.
For the people who can't do replays you have 2 choices
1 - learn how to do a replay.
    2 - don't win.

Race 3, it's up to you if you want to cut the last corner in question, you do not have to send in a replay for this round, for those of you that still don't cut the corner I applaud you. The reason why you don't have to send a replay is this:
*If everyone does it then it's not a shortcut.
*it doesn't seem to be that big of a shortcut.
*Not everyone can do a replay, I don't want to limit the amount of events that those guys can enter, and yes it is simple but I myself don't have a PC so I do use my phone but it's very hard to film it for 5-7 minutes that's why I normally only film 1 lap and it takes me about an hour to upload 1 lap to youtube.
    * I don't want to turn the CHALLENGE HUB into something that needs going over with a fine tooth comb.
    * if we have to record everything it sucks all the fun at of it. (Remember it's only a game, a very good game)

Send in pictures of your times to compete

Challenges need to be a fair race where both players have a chance to win. (a faster racer can't challenge a slower racer to a straight up head to head race)
Remember post your best time/score as you only get 1 post.
    KING OF THE HUB

Players challenge the KING to an event of the CHALLENGER’S choice, the event could be fastest time/lap, highest position, drifting, target time, current NO-TUNE CHALLENGE etc, You make the rules.
If the CHALLENGER beats the KING then the CHALLENGER becomes the new KING.

The CHALLENGER and KING will have 1 week to do the challenge but you only get 1 post so post your best time.
If the KING doesn't post a time before the deadline then the KING will lose his crown, the same goes for the CHALLENGER.
If both CHALLENGER and KING post there best time early then I'll start the next challenge early.

This event gives you guys a chance to design an event.

Just PM me the event you wish to challenge the KING with and I'll make it happen.

BATTLE IT OUT FOR THE PHOTON AWARD

So everyone who enters in BATTLE#10 will have the right to choose a car for BATTLE#11 and everyone who enters BATTLE#11 will have the right to choose a car for BATTLE#12 and so on, if you don't enter in #10 you can still race the cars in #11 which will give you the right to choose a car for BATTLE#12, etc.

You will need to race all the cars (expect your own choice) in the BATTLE to have the right to choose a car for the next BATTLE, once you have raced all the cars I will PM you the next BATTLE details.

Everyone will choose a car but as we may have 4 or more people in the BATTLE they will run for 2 weeks, as normal the car you find is the fastest will get your point the car with the most points wins.
Your point will not be awarded to your own car, so you can choose to race your own car or not. As long as you race all the other cars.

    Rules when choosing a car:
Street/tuner cars only, no race cars,
    500,000cr max,
PD rules and regulations must be followed,

Remember when you are racing you can make your own guidelines such as:
You can race each car once (ONE HIT WONDER style),
Race them 5 times each or more or less,
Upgrade cars to Max allowed PP and race them stock tune.
Tune all cars to get the fastest time possible.
Or any other ways you may wish.

When a player races both cars the fastest car will get a point,
the car with the most points wins,
In an event of a tie the car with the fastest time will win.
The player that nominated the winning car wins the PHOTON AWARD on the winners list.
(named after the great man @photonrider)
Points will be awarded to the fastest car but not your own car

    BATLLE#11

    ------------

    unnamed.jpg

You have 15 minutes to get the car, race and post your time back to me. Your time will start as soon as I send you the car and race. This means you will not have time to restart the race if you make a mistake, just keep racing.
If you are late you will be disqualified.
All times will be kept secret until everyone who wants to enter enters, then I will post all of the times at the end of the round or once everyone has entered.

Hit me up about entering at anytime if you see my green light on or PM me and we can organise a time.

In these 2 ONE HIT WONDERS you can get the cars now and tune them to what you think is best, once you have done that hit me up and I'll tell you the venues.

Quick question, BB adjustments allowed? Bit hard using BB of 5 and 5 with ABS off and using the [] button.

You can adjust what ever the game allows.

Edit: @RMan72 I use [] to, what do you find that is wrong if BB is on 5 and 5.

With ABS off the brakes lock easily I dropped the setting to 2 and 3 but found it still locked at the end of braking in the rear so flipped it and lowered to 2 and 1.

For me having ABS off changes the handling of the car makes it more 'alive' on corner entry.
Which is better depends on what you want. Quick times from the off, using racing brakes or using most set ups on GTPlanet then ABS on 1 is the way to go.
If you want a slightly different handling car and want to be a little more involved in the braking process then ABS off.
Give the C1 and 300SL tune from Elegance Automotive Guild a go. Driving them was my first experience using ABS off.

What's your thoughts on this car?
I found it a lot better than I expected, being a TVR I thought it was going to all over the place.

I found it quite tame for a TVR, running stock cars is always fun.

You like running with ABS 0? You see any difference in handling?

I like driving stock cars to.

I didn't mind no ABS, still need more practice I think. I found out very quickly that it locks up if you spend to long on the brakes, i needed to brake a bit sooner than normal, also I found that if you get it right I slides nicely into the corner and you don't lose any momentum. It was a lot easier then I thought it was going to be, once I got the setting right. I think I would struggle on the higher powered cars?

ABS off makes the car really come alive - though I have to add that running ABS off on cars that technically are produced with ABS is kind of modifying the car.
How I handle ABS off is to 'pump' the brake pedal. You can't 'stand on the brakes' like one can do with full ABS functioning - a real car 'judders' when you stomp on ABS brakes.
So what I do, when I have ABS off (usually I'm running at TCS1/ABS 1) is to pump the brakes in a way imitating the ABS - manually.
ABS off does make the car a whole different animal - quite a thrill to drive - and unless one is really trying to clip milliseconds of a TT ABS off does make a race very exciting.

On occasion, though, one may have to change their pants after an ABS off race - if you're driving the Cizeta for instance. :D

Everything seems good but not enought as gladiator prove ......
My best time was 0.4 lower than yours ,usualy am in 1.2 low and hights , the last corner is the key here, how not loose speed and hit the gas without sliding.
From what i see you can have more top speed in finish line .
Usualy am fast when i have to use the kerb at the left ,

About my record I don't have replay.

I lapped mid 1:00.xxx and a good first lap is mandatory, something around 1:01.5xx.
Tsukuba is a very technical circuit for which pad and wheel driving are completely different.
I performed several TTs on this circuit and a good experience is fundamental to drive fast harpins and large turns as the final one.
Driving by pad a mid-powered FR car as TVR I would recommend as follows:
    - hairpins: min distance trackline with "cusp" shaping
    - first turn: not to close trackline trying to accelerate as soon as possible.
    - last turn: there are several way to be fast but with pad i prefer to brake quite late, partitioning until the middle then go go go crossing the fingers
    - right turn before Dunlop bridge: key turn in which brake early is the better approach.

More in general an unbalanced brake setting (e.g. 7/4) for FR car would help a lot but is out of this challenge requirement.

    Hope this helps in someway.

    Ciao

PS: for racetime under 5min should be necessary to lap under 1min...

    Thanks for the tips mate.
It's such a honor racing with you and the AI HUB gang. @ERAZER helped me a lot with tuning and @Vic Reign93 helped me a lot with driving tips to, when we raced online together out the "car of the week" thread. He was the master of these style events.
