Ditto what they said. I can buy a new Z06 for $50,000. I can buy a 3-year-old Viper GTS with less than 30,000 miles on it for the same $50,000 or less. Not even a question in my mind.

Many people like the Z06 in GT3, but I could never get mine to go as fast as the GTS, or be as stable.

I agree. The Viper looks a lot better and is faster than the 'Vette. I like them a lot more.

The Corvette has been growing on me for a while now. In real life they are about evenly matched. The Viper has a hair greater acceleration, not as much as the difference in hp would indicate. In all other areas they are equals. And I rather like the looks of the Corvette. Lately I've been checking ads for used Corvettes, '68 - '82. And I hope to pick one up when I can.

As far as in the game, I've had great luck with the Z06 and did most of the normal car races with it.

The Viper is faster round a than the Zo6 is, it beats it in handling, and although the 0-60 is close the 0-100, 100-140 ect are all quicker in the GTS, besides the Zoette, the GTS wasn't the top model MK1 Viper, the Viper GT was and that was a little quicker still.

They are very close. but in the real life racing the C5R's usually win the races

I think the only major diff in the Z06 and the GTS is the viper gots a V10 and Vette gots a V8. I think those 2 cylinders would make a difference

Actually the Vipers, when they were all fixed up and crap, used to beat the vettes most of the time...I think the Viper team that was winning either quit or was banned or something, but they were on a steak....
I voted viper, simply because you see Vette's all over the damn place, they're great cars, but they're quickly losing their status as a "BAD ASS MOFO" now that anyone can buy it, and that the SVT cobra is at it's heels.

Well Corvette consistently beats Viper and Ferarri in the GTS manufacturers cup in the Le Mans series. Is this because the Viper is faster and handles better?

There are no factory backed Viper GTS-R left in any race series as far as I'm aware, when the Team Oreca Vipers raced they won everything they enteredg their classes at LeMan and in the ALMS, the FIA GT championship. I've yet to see a Vette win all of thoes, besides if you noticed, the two cars being compared are STOCK Z06 and GTS, a race car is far far different to drive than the road versions.

Anyone? WTF are you talking about. Can you buy one? Niether can I. And the Cobra is a straight line muscle car. It's not at anything's heels since it's the only muscle car left.

I don't think he knows, the Vette is still a nice car and should carry on being a nice car short of WWIII canceling the C6 production, the Vette has always been affordable, it's not meat to rival Ferrari directly, no one would buy it then, but by making a car that can equal £100 k Ferrari's and charging $50,000 isn't a bad move, the Viper just happens to be a quicker car.

I like both car's, I'm not a big domestic fan, but the sound, and the look's of the *new Viper have me hooked. Without getting too in depth with each of their strength's/weaknesses, my vote is for the Viper.

Well what Im wondering is how milefile says "corvettes consistantly beat vipers" when vipers used to consistantly beat corvettes......The viper tuners arn't as infatuated with le manz like corvettes have been, so much more overall money has gone into tuning the C5-R's.....The fact is the viper has a higher top speed, more HP looks alot better, and isn't 1/8th as common as a vette...like it or not,....exclusivity determines a cars worth, not what a car does on le mans..

Because I watched the Petit Le Mans last weekend. Last I checked in the GTS class it was Corvette, Ferarri, Viper, in that order. And I also concede that stock, the Viper is a bit faster, but not much. I also point out that looks are subjective. And again, as I said, the little bit more you get is not worth $25 or $30,000.00. If I had $50,000.00 I'd buy a new Corvette, not a used Viper. A Viper and a Corvette on a track with equal drivers would be an awsome race, either could win. Put an SVT Cobra out there and watch it get killed.

just because its 2 more cylinders doesnt mean anything its the stroke and bore, the viper may have a v-10 but the vettes bore is prob larger.
