Why does it upset you so much? How does it affect your enjoyment of the game? I feel positive about the game in general. But some areas I think deserve criticism and some praise. What you see is representative of how fans are receiving emerging news, so what's your problem?

I have seen people outside of gtplanet which are disappointed with the massive presence of standard cars from GT4. Just because PD always said that those cars will be included it doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to think it's a bad decision to include them. They have a valid point when they say that the absence of their favourite car is disappointing as PD has spent more or less five years making 800 standard cars look decent. Some commonly praised cars are obviously missing so should people just accept that because PD never promised them otherwise? From a logic point of view, I don't think so.

You lack a good argument to justify this thread. People can have their opinions no matter how negative or positive they may be. Expectations doesn't have to be based solely on whatever PD/Sony said.

People can have all the opinions they want. I concur in every way possible. You and I are countrymen - I'm from Denmark aswell - But one thing I can not stand, is the fact that so many GTP users have a rant on the forum because they did not get what they wanted.

This is ridiculous to an extent I can not even begin to describe.

I also agree that expectations don't have to be based on what PD/Sony said. But when people draw their own conclusions after realizing their expectations did not get fulfilled - based on what they wanted to be in the game, not what PD/Sony said - They are being 10 year old children about it. Sort of stamping the floor, yelling and screaming.

I also expected some things from GT5 that has not come to be, but that doesn't ever give me the feeling that I need to rant about it in all eternity just to have my voice heard. And that is what many of the GTP users that complain and do unorganized critique do. Want to have their voice heard. Everyone wants to have their voices heard in fact, but no one wants to hear a crybaby with nonsense spewing out of them.

In the end all I really think, is, that I'm embarrassed to be a GTP user in these times. People wait for GT5 for so long and have expectations, which is fine, but only when the game is given an overview/hands-on preview by an amateur, and when leaked videos of the game come out, they start complaining immensely. I mean.. Yeah, whatever. I'm embarrassed.

And how should PD ever improve if they only got praise from every corner of the world? It's not like it isn't constructive critisim when someone says that the Veyron is such a big miss. It means that PD aren't quite done and have things to work on in the future. That can't be a bad thing.

I could agree if this forum was filled with empty critisims towards the overall quality of GT5. People cannnot judge the game before having played it and most users here seem to realise that.

I don't have any problems with people making a valid claim or arguement about something that can be changed, but whining about something you have no control over is counter-productive and pointless.

Saying this thread is pointless or without base is wrong, because if we can use this thread to make a change, either by highlighting ceaseless whiners who deserve infractions (and no, I am not playing Moderator here), or convincing those people that negative attitudes are unnecessary, we can make for a happier atmosphere here.

You do realize being able to see a bad decision doesn't necessitate doing the whole job better right? I can tell when a QB throws a pass across his body off his back foot, but I sure can't win a superbowl or pass an 80 yard pass...

As for knowing how hard it is, I am not saying it's easy, but what exactly makes you an expert on exactly how hard it is? Do YOU actually know how to program a whole game and managed a development shop or are you just guessing and assuming? I kind of get the feeling it's the latter...

- standards (having no interior views is a bummer, not to mention that you can't visually modify them to some extent)
- weather is not available on all tracks
- 5-6 years of dev time including all the delays
- some of the features that we've seen like dirt, paint scrapes, etc are non-existent (as of now)
- no option to disable the hud

+ the sounds are further improved

I'd like to believe i can express afew dissapointments without being labelled "A Whiner".

In general my attidude to the game is very positive and am very excited about it's release this wednesday. There are a few things im slightly dissapointed about (Missing Cars, Tracks etc), I accept that i'll either have to hope for Downloadable content or just hope they show up in GT6 instead, But i should still be allowed to express my dissapointment even though it wont effect my enjoyment off the Game.

Criticism is just a way for some individuals to feel superior, intelligent and draw attention from others. It works this way: On a social circle enviorment were everybody shares a like or dislike, some people might feel that they are just another one in millions. Instead of feeling good of being able to enjoy a comon like, they somewhat feel that attention is being drawned away from them. So going against that same like or dislike that they shared with others, will draw some attention. This will make that person feel on top of the crowd, and it might even make other people follow their "rebelion" just to fit in the new social circle, of course this will only start the cicle again, and again. Bottom line is, even the ones that are attacking their own like, which is of course Gran Turismo, will be that ones that will cry of pure joy when they play it next week.

Another thing... Everyone has their own opinion, and the right to be respected
