The Helicopter physics in this game are jarring, racing them is nigh on impossible
Just avoid it, the courses for them suck with the strong winds (quite nifty for finding treasure chests and some playlist challenges). Its relative how bad they are though, nowhere near GTA V levels of jank.

You can get massively better at them with practice. When they first had helicopter events in a summit, I was 15000th or something with my early attempts. After a reasonable amount of practice I was top 50. Their behaviour really makes a lot of sense, they're primarily propelled upwards, perpendicular to the main rotor, which seems reasonable to me.

Tried the new playlist and I'm not happy. The first race is ok and I liked the boat race but those 'complete the objectives' events are just bad designated imo. Specially the last one was awful. I'm already afraid when they will put those into Summits.
And the water-bike.... don't know why I was expecting different physics... it's just a motocross on water. I should have lowered my expectations.
I really didn't want to rant about it. I hope others will enjoy it more than I did.

I agree with you're sentiments the scoring format is a mistake, posting a time should be prime. I didnt even complete the scoring races I quit out of them. With the bike I didn't even try it until forced in the playlist... easily the worst format race conceived, surprisingly the bike handled reasonably though. I think best to vote with you're feet so the game goes in the right direction. The great thing is Motorfest has plenty of choices so I dont have to suffer naff design ideas.

Ive a new appreciation for this game after trying FH5, the quality of this game is so much higher. Its the little things... like having rewind that you control fully, easy map navigation, actual event hubs you can see and crucially the boost mechanic.

The problem with the new score events is that some actions have high score requirements, and there are few objects to meet the action requirements, so you have to go around the same route multiple times pointlessly.

The Motorflix stunt events in TC2 had a lot of objects, and basically you could clear the event naturally by driving while performing actions from start to finish.

If they reduced the score requirements for some actions such as wall riding and placed more objects such as targets and jumps, this event would be as fun as they envisioned.

As for the new bike, I really like it.
I was certainly surprised by the physics of this bike on the water. What I imagined was something like the jet sprint in TC2. But in reality, it was a motocross bike that could be driven on water as if it were on land. In both good and bad ways.
But once you get used to the strangeness, this physics gives you a thrill that boats don't have. 150km/h on this bike is more thrilling and fun than 300km/h on a powerboat. That alone made me fall in love with this new bike.

note: If you feel like the sense of speed in water motocross is the same as on a boat, try going to the open ocean where there is a sea breeze.
It's unclear whether this is intentional feature or a bug, but with the new bikes, when there is a sea breeze blowing, you can get an extraordinary sense of speed, as if the game speed itself has increased.

Well just arrived at the playlist finale, started saw it was points scoring with a time limit of 20mins... grinned like a cheshire cat and quit, no thanks. The playlist is valuable real estate in this game and when you add dead rubber events (low rider bouncing etc) its a shame. Im really grateful for the new content deliveries, but cant help feeling robbed of actual races this time. We have this massive new island with very few races that take advantage of it so far... Looking forward to the next playlist already, which is madness!
Normally I would be doing the completionist thing, and would be working through the custom races, that's not going to happen with this one im not a masochist. To be fair the previous playlist was excellent which is why this is a little jarring now.

Yes, I don't like to diss the Forza games too much, as I've played them quite a lot in the past, so they certainly had enough appeal to keep me engaged for some time, but I'm bored within minutes if I run FH5 up nowadays. It has never captured my imagination in quite the same way that FH4 did. FH5 is still a decent high quality game, but TC2 and TCM are so much more than FH clones. Fujimi Kaido in FM is pretty good, that's up there with TCM for quality of environment.

The water-bike is starting to grow on me. Being able to run on all terrain like a hovercraft but with much better handling is such a huge plus. And after a few races I remembered the Blue rush even that runs on the beaches and trough water. So I gave it a try and was able to beat all those aliens on regular Motocross bikes by a lot. Also improved my time by 30 sec. 😂

I echo you're sentiments blitzed 110 hours on it, it just lacks the moreishness of motorfest is all... a cracking game that I wish I'd played first before motorfest. The little hiatus has reinspired me to play motorfest again, and heightened my appreciation for its gameplay ergonomics which are best in class so far.

It seems there's a new best money earning method that gets TCM money earning up to TC2 levels (and a reasonably high icon point TC2 account at that). They might well nerf it soon, so if you want credits, I suggest doing a bit of grinding before it gets nerfed.

I was watching this video and noticed there was no parts as reward. Tried again this same event myself and didn't get any parts. I don't remember any event that doesn't reward parts. So when they will nerf this event it will go from the best to the worst event in the game. 🤣

Yes, the lack of parts is really annoying as it means that on my alt accounts I can't really do the event, as they don't have parts, so I wouldn't be progressing towards having the parts that make the event really worthwhile. But I don't want to spend the time grinding another event to get parts then grind the new event. My main account has the parts but doesn't need the credits. I suppose on the alts I could just grind Hummer E-xpress till I have 3 bucks parts for the half set bonus, that should be pretty quick.

'The Ace' from the new playlist works a little bit better for me since I can constantly finish within 1'30'' in a MTX and so can be done on hardest difficulty. It gives the same amount of parts than E-xpress (4) thought.

Am I the only one who is missing better and longer lasting tyre smoke?
You can barely make donuts into your own tyre smoke. The smoke dissipates way too fast.
I wish they would make the smoke last longer.

Is there any vanity smoke that lasts longer?

The first event in Hawaii Scenic Tour seems to be easier than the rest for level 3 difficulty, I do it often for the weekly blue challenges.
Thanks for this. Ran this event with the Maserati this week and will make use of it going forward 👍.
For anyone who doesn't know, the new custom bundle that is available tomorrow has the golden stripes tyres, and these are the joint best tyres in the game, equal to roffo red line. I like them because they give you a lot more colour scheme options for the car that look good with the tyres when you have 2 usable tyres to choose from. However, you can possibly get them cheaper if you find a car in the custom show that has them on, and it has nothing else on that costs crew credits. If buying the custom bundle for crew credits, you should always buy the car with normal credits first, as that reduces the crew credit cost of the bundle accordingly.
Thanks for the heads up. I decided to buy the "Welcome Pack" CC bundle as it also includes the special edition Motorfest Audi and I didn't pay full price for the game but have already got plenty of fun playing it, so I used some of the CC to buy the Custom bundle.

All I have to do now is remember to fit them on all my cars before i drive them

I am continuing to run different cars on the 2 required Grand Races each week. This week I used Marco's Cab from TC2 which is fun drifting around corners, and the new Audi Qbert rally thing.

As far as I know all smokes last the same. There are some smoke vanities that last longer but they don't look like smoke at all.

Today I was making a livery for next week and suddenly all my stickers got an exclamation mark and I got panicked just to realize I used all 3000 slots available for a livery. Never had reached the limit before. 😂

Well I've now added the golden stripes where available to all the categories except for Street 1 and 2. I shall leave that scintillating task for another night

Was checking the races for next week Summit. It's an interesting choice because all 3 races for cars are races where there's barely any braking when in Rally Raid vehicles. In addition there's a fair play modifier which means affixes are turned off. If it wasn't for the Lambo yacht required for one race and a better prize it could have been a pretty competitive Summit.

I wish Lambo's boat could at least use the livery editor.
One of the most disappointing things about the TC2/TCM, not just this boat, is buying a very expensive vehicle only to find out that customization is very limited.
Of course, I understand that in many cases this is due to licensing issues...

Another horrific summit lol one or two turgid events I will accept, but a whole smorgasbord of meh... really 3 weeks in a row now? Off to Forza I go...

Loving the sound of the world update as I went there in 2019. Obviously, it depends on player tastes, but it sounds to me like season 7 will be very popular.

Another handling update for ST2 and hypercars? That's a bit disappointing.
Of course, those cars need updates "too", but what really needs updates are the many slower cars in the ST1 and RR categories that have grip, traction, dampers, etc. issues that even the pro settings can't fully cover.
Of course, the issues with those cars are more severe than those in the ST2 and hypercars, so they may be harder to fix...

Very odd that it says available May 14th. The current sequence ends on June 4th. A Ferrari playlist is plausible, though, as we have Lambo and Porsche already (two of the best playlists in the game, IMO - generally decent tracks and it's great to celebrate the history of these iconic brands).

The "back on track" feature always resetting the car to stationary is an interesting one, that should eliminate some reset opportunities and greatly reduce the benefit of any that remain beneficial.

The previous so-called "handling update" seemed to largely be standardising top speeds to make a lot more cars reasonably competitive.
