I mean, the Citroen GT is already in the game... and I think a few VGT's have been in other games.
Yay the Elite bundle will give me something to spend my 30million on! Gonna end up like these youtubers with 99million unspent at the rate these cars appear though...

Pretty sure I remember the Bugatti VGT’s name popping up on one of those Spoiler car lists for upcoming seasons awhile back.

And with next weeks Summit being a Bugatti Showcase, it makes sense. 👍
Wouldn't surprise me if the VGT was a Summit reward

Edit:
Duh! It's (supposedly) in the Elite Bundle!

This summit is much more fun this week, hopefully its a bit more competitive than last week maybe alot of folks were put off with the gears enforcement? I like the variety in the handling between the cars this week, lots of nuanced throttle control needed for this one.

This week summit has only 68k entries so far. For a car summit that is extremely low. The Ferrari summit had 40k more entries by the end of Saturday. And it's not competitive either. Right now you need 100k points per race (Ferrari was 123k) and 150k on skills (purple parts are enough). But than is so nice outside now. Hope you guys are enjoying Summer too.

This week bundle is so expensive for me, who recently started to play...
And there is Bugatti week coming, that will be much better, and I think it's bundle will cost even more.

Summer is nice, apart from the fact that plants also love it, there's so much gardening to do.

Things that could be putting people off the TCM summits:

1) Cost of buying cars for summits. I wouldn't say it's as bad as when you had to grind 4m credits for the MotorPass in TC2, which was ultimately what killed that game for me. Now the MotorPass is gone, TC2 is quite enjoyable again for me. I have a main account that isn't short of credits, and two PCs so I can crew up with myself and use a loan car if I don't want to buy a car needed for the TCM summit, but for people who have no choice but to grind for credits if they want to take part in the summit, it's going to be a huge negative for people on new accounts.

2) I don't like the fixed car format, there's no replayability if you can't try different cars. Of course, this also happens if you have a meta that is so unbalanced that when you have a choice of cars there's only one clearly best car. I quite enjoyed some of the summit events in the past where you were limited to e.g. Japanese Street Tier 2, as there were quite a few close matched cars, AND the R34 Black Panthaa was very good, and I didn't have it, so that created some real value for a summit exclusive car.

3) A lot of the TCM tracks are very similar to each other, I feel there's a lot more variety in the TC2 tracks.

4) There's never anything essential as summit rewards in TCM. I can see why they do this, they apparently don't want a grand race meta car to be unavailable until it becomes available for prestige tickets, but boosted sets wouldn't be usable in grand races anyway, so I don't see why they can't have those. Boosted sets in TC2 make it really compelling to do a summit when they're on offer, but there's just nothing essential ever on offer in TCM summits.

5) Related to 4, the change from top 10k to top 15k for platinum has made the platinum rewards less exclusive, so the already non-essential rewards have lost some of the one thing they did have going for them.

For quick money do the photo challenges if your newly starting ;-)

I haven't done the Summit yet but I'm a bit surprised by the low turn out on it this week, Isn't the platinum prize the new rally car??

It's pretty much 100% guaranteed to be sufficiently worse than the meta to be unusable competitively. Look at Akor's test data:

E.g. 21:39 for hypercars. You might think the Noble M600 Lunar Year Edition is at least usable, but IMO it isn't. It's still 0.4 slower than the Centodieci, 6kph lower top speed, but on top of that, the Centodieci is just so much more stable than anything else. Grand Races often come down to avoiding mistakes, to a large extent, and most people will simply make fewer mistakes with the Centodieci.

Ok, but the Ferrari summit had literally the same car as the one available for purchase. Definitely not a meta. Still managed to pull some numbers. I suspect the fairplay modifier and only races (no feats) was a plus. And that the Ogmios Rally is a fictional car.
Personally I would try and get it just because of looks. That and being a unique car. Like there are not two version in the rally category.

I wonder if some people haven't even noticed the car summit is this week, as it has always been the final week? (in the time since I bought the game, at least)

Folks are being pushed away from the summit by the content, jets, bikes, boats, enforced gears, turgid none racing events with points in them. Ferrari week and this week are much better. Fair Play is great to bring in new players to the summit, and keep feat filler out of it would be a starting point. Another bug bear is resetting rewinding cheating, just leave that for free roam and career mode... it devalues the summit massively.

For what it's worth, I got in the top 1% for this summit without using any resets or rewinds, and only one attempt at most events (though I had already done them all on one other account a few days earlier, so had a little memory of each track). It's really nice to have that one event that can't be done in a crew, too, so people who always do them solo can benchmark themselves against the top players without slipstream.

Respect 1% is seriously impressive, myself Ive managed top 2500 no more than that (player numbers are low only 33K or so). Do you think the career leaderboards are more representative ( no crew drafting etc )? Ive managed top 150 on each of three new events with like 85K approx players. I think hypercars is the best class for grinding times as they break grip and want you to feather the throttle with real subtlety. Next weeks bugatti fest should be a good week im hoping.

Top 150 is very impressive. I just had a go at the 3rd race on an account that hadn't already done it, and I was 5 seconds off top 150 pace out of 162k players now. Obviously the top times are done by people who own the cars and have put parts on them. Still, I was top 0.15%, so it does seem fairly easy to get high up, I'd guess most people just do them once in playlist mode. The career events, both in playlist mode and custom mode, can be done in a crew with slipstream.

What's the Special Selection modifier that you need for the Grand Race?

EDIT: Never mind i know what it is now.

The second Elite Bundle car looks like the Apollo Project Evo

It does look like the Evo. Will know exactly tomorrow. It's an interesting choice of vehicles. If for some reason they won't be competitive in races they sure gonna be competitive in the Custom Show. 😁

Some people are just lucky.
Today I was doing the usual self voting for the CS. While checking others cars someone invited me in a crew. At the same time one of the platform refreshed an suddenly I was standing right in front of @sirjim73 's car. I asked the crew leader to vote for it too and we boosted the ❤️ from 3 to 7. 😎👍

I have thought that if they truly want to make the custom show work how it should, they need to remove the player's name and vote count, so people can only vote based on how much they like the car itself. The top 10 section should show the top 10 of the previous week.

It's interesting that around twice as many people have done the 3rd playlist event as have done a summit event. It isn't that people aren't playing the game, but they aren't motivated to do even one summit event.

Wouldn't go that far...
Somewhat Hotwheels yeah, but delights the inner child in going bonkers with the aesthetics. Sometimes even garish cars can be tweaked with parts paints and livery too... dunno if these bundle cars will be editable like that yet...

I'm guessing the VGT can be painted and have liveries. Maybe minor visuals for the Apollo.

Strange but interesting news.

The Japanese racing team, KOSHIDO RACING, has partnered with UBI, and the ND Roadster (MX-5) race car they use in Japan's Super Taikyu series will be added to Motorfest.

Like many of the other race cars in Motorfest, it probably won't have access to the livery editor, but it's an interesting addition.

"Japan" season incoming me thinks...
I bet they announce it at Tokyo Game Show on the same day FH6 Japan is announced
