They've teased tonight's Crew Showcase in the TC2 maintenance announcement, so I'm guessing today's maintenance will definitely add offline mode/hybrid mode to TC2.
Oh I hope so!! Finally some Motocross Open World Driving without having to worry about anyone committing Kamikaze on me with their Air Race planes or some kid ramming me off the bike!

Excited for the season 8 and 9. The Street racers will bring new race mode? Cool. An the RC cars looked fun. The track forge seems simple to use. Oh and NASCAR. Can't wait. The only thing that bothers me a little bit........ That new playground island...... Why did you guys make it like a copy of the Hot Wheels island for FH5?? 😭
I mean it's different... but it's also the first thing that I thought of.
Anyway they cooked it. Very excited. Am still a little bit afraid of the drip feeding the playlists...

I don't really like that new island thing, i prefer something more...free roam land.

And still no update the current bikes models.

Like Lego in FH4, there will undoubtedly be a lot of people who dislike this.
But the new RC mode is probably the feature I'm most excited about. It's not just "down-scaled cars," it has true RC physics, and best of all, various objects on the map can now function as new courses. I can't wait until they incorporate stairs and footbridges into the race courses like in their sample videos.

The only downside is that we won't get access to this fun new feature until March of next year. I'll starve to death if I have to wait that long.

Some of the new cars being added in the Y3 pass.
I know this is strange, but I'm most excited about the Shelby GR1.

I wonder if it's been since TDU since I've played a racing game that uses this car.

Note: The Year 3 Pass store page states that the pass includes two exclusive cars as a bonus.
This means that playlists likely won't be locked as exclusive content to the season pass, as they were with the Year 2 Pass. This could be good news for those who want to enjoy RC and NASCAR.

Meh apparently no solo-for-self use for track editor. Damn...........

Almost worth avoiding the pass to sidestep the cadillac of infinite goppingness... kill it with fire lol
Im assuming the RC cars playlist is in the pass similar to last year with chase squad...?

RC cars is referred to as a "premium addition" in the news article on the Ubisoft website. I don't know what that means. I don't think it's related to the year 3 pass as, if it was, surely they would have said so? I noticed I think what may have been a RC car in the year 3 pass footage.

Anyways, season 8 looks reasonable, to be honest the BMW playlist looks like any other manufacturer specific playlist.
The other one (which explains the monkey face which someone found on the map a while ago) is more creative. As well as the "bet" feature, there is also a "free race" mode which involves races with no GPS route.

Season 9 is the standout though:
1. "Not Wheels" island ;)
2. TrackForge (which is nothing like the track creator in FH5 ;) )
3. NASCAR

My guess is NASCAR will possibly make use of TrackCreator by having oval tracks generated that way, which is why it is in season 9 - we don't have any ovals in game currently?

The success of TrackForge will depend on the level of flexibility of track creation.

Also, if you don't have the BMW M2 2017 in TCM it is FREE UNTIL OCTOBER 19TH.

Is the track editor limited to the "Not Wheels" island or can it be used anywhere? (Unfortunately my guess is the previous.)

the video showed a grid area over the coastline with track parts being selected no idea but assume its limited in scope... sadly no building a ramp on the volcano to sacrifice the cadillac ciel to the magma

How do we get it? I go to the shop in the game, and it still wants 257k credits to buy it.

Edit: Okay, done it, it's rather odd on Steam. You have to go to the Ubisoft Connect App, and even though it says I've got 5/5 of the rewards, if I go in there, despite it looking like I already have them all, there is a 6th reward that I don't have, the BMW.

Apparently increasing the suspension height is also possible to do along with lowering it. I wonder if the pro settings will be more than just + - 20% as of season 8. Would help on the offroad considering I'm an Offroad Addict!

Edit: Just saw some Street Racer HQ gameplay on YouTube and... without spoiling too much, Cara gets hilarious!! I hope they'll allow us to keep her like how she is in the playlist!!

The Traxion.gg staff have already been playing the RC mode and have already independently gleaned a lot of new information from the IVT, particularly around this new content.
  • RC cars have their own jump command (kind of like "Crazy Jump" from Crazy Taxi?)
  • RC playlists allow you to try specific tricks
  • RC cars are lightweight, so they can travel on water as long as they maintain speed.
  • The RC playlist is exclusive to the Year 3 Pass, but some of the RC cars will be available to players who don't have the Year 3 Pass through Summit Rewards and the Prestige Shop.
  • RC cars can be customized, and each RC car has different characteristics, such as being suitable for on-road or gravel.
  • IVT has also announced collaborations with real-world RC brands (Tamiya? Traxxas? Who knows!).
Also, there's a lot of information about Track Builder in this article, so check it out for yourself.
This isn't clickbait, I'm not sure if my poor English skills can properly explain the content about Track Builder...💩

Trackforge seems to have a LOT of potential. I'm looking forward to it!!

Not Wheels Island TM
is the exclusive GTPlanet trade mark of user sirjim73  you must request permission to use it

Thanks, that's really helpful. I already own the car but wonder if I will get any refund 🤔

The crew2 is going for £2.50 and Motorfest is £15 atm on steam 🤑
Worth getting the gold edition of TC2 for £4.50, IMO, to get the 20% discount on all cars, plus getting the season pass cars for free when you start playing is super helpful. Indeed, having started 3 x TC2 accounts from scratch not all that long ago, I'd say the early grind is borderline unplayable without the season pass, I ended up buying the season pass on each account because it's just too painful without it.

I can't believe its not bigger news that anyone thats invited by a friend that owns the game can play it for free. I assume Ubisoft accounts will be required but I guess since Motorfest will eventually get an offline mode, it ultimately wont matter.

They released an offline update for TC2, but since then some players seem to be having trouble importing into TCM properly, and there have been many reports on reddit.

It seems that this import issue isn't a deliberate attempt by them to disable the import feature, as some players seem to be able to import correctly, but this bug came at a terrible time for me as I don't yet have the DeLorean Monster Truck and was planning on getting it at the next TC2 Summit.

I bought new copies of TC2 Gold Edition, and Motorfest, on a new account, did enough in TC2 to get it to give me all the season pass cars and got the free vehicles for completing each trial event, but nothing has imported into TCM (I did turn on the option in TCM, and it said successfully imported, but no vehicles appeared). I've alternately run both games up and down several times, but nothing. All the same I got around 6000th in the TCM Summit after 4.5 hours of play, though it's a pretty easy one for new players, with it only requiring street race parts.
