I was looking at the list of purchasable cars for Motorfest for the first time in a while, and I noticed that a lot of TC2 exclusives have already been added to the Main Stage. With the possibility of a TC2 server shutdown now becoming a real possibility, this is a good thing.
However, this got me thinking about something else.
If they finish adding all of TC2's Summit exclusives to the Main Stage, what will they do with the Main Stage rewards?
Of course, adding new Main Stage exclusives based on existing models, like the IVT Falcon, is probably a realistic option. However, this would require them to create four new models each month. Even if they were variants based on existing models, that would be a significant increase in effort.
And since they've already incorporated Main Stage Legacy into the game, repeating the Main Stage isn't an option either. Of course, it's also impossible to have Motorfest Summit cars as Main Stage rewards.
Based on this, I speculate that future Main Stage rewards will likely eliminate car rewards, or that new cars will be added less frequently, such as once a month.
Instead, I suspect that the vanity rewards that were exclusive to TC2's Summit/Motor Pass will become future Main Stage rewards.
I also think that the current Main Stage level 3 vanity rewards will be replaced with a set of legendary items, such as those seen in TC2's Summit rewards.
Some people may no longer find these rewards appealing, but this style will allow them to operate the Main Stage system for the long term while reducing the costs and effort required to maintain live service. What are your predictions for the future of the Main Stage?
