Some questionnable summit changes, a new forced sequential gears mode will be a modifier and you can use a crew in any event. Cant say the summit changes are too clever, as a solo player I should have the same performance available as folks in a crew ( its supposed to be a competition / fair ). The summit was keeping me engaged as an endgame mode, its losing appeal more and more. Why should someone with less ability win, quite hard to reconcile that one.
I think Trigger might have misunderstood what is changing.

You can already slipstream in all summit events, including skills. I'm not keen on this either, I think it's fine for people to be able to do events together, but players shouldn't get slipstream from each other. In practice, it's only good players who can benefit from this - I have done events with a friend, but he's so much slower than me that there's no chance of getting a slipstream benefit.

What is currently different between summit races and skills is the use of loan cars. If the crew leader has a car, then the other people in the crew can do races using a loan car, but this doesn't apply to skills, so with skills now often needing a specific car, people are forced to buy that car, they can't use a loan vehicle. I think this is probably what is changing so that people can use a loan vehicle for all summit events.

Gaslit by a muppet he's bound to polarise on any detail for clicks, more the fool me. I trust you're thoughts more on this for sure. Quite looking forward to some prancing horse fun today gonna be a long couple of hours this...

Was reading trough the Patch notes and I'm so happy they increased the threshold for Summit Platinum to 15k. It's not huge but there are less players participating in Summit since FH5 came to PS5 and was afraid they would make it even harder. Like they lowered the Platinum in the Crew 2 (XBox) from 4000 to 2100 once the player base got reduced.

Interesting, a friend was doing the last summit last night and he only just got silver (which is changing from top 40k to top 60k), even with multiple attempts at many events. Gold is changing from 20k to 30k, so he would still have been in silver, but it would have been much easier for him to get silver at top 60k rather than top 40k.

I'm still not sure what is changing about the summit feats. We did the escape in a crew so I could show him the route, and it worked fine even though it had a vehicle restriction (but he had the required car). I can only think that the change is that it will be possible to use a loan vehicle, as I mentioned in a previous post, but the wording in the patch notes doesn't obviously suggest that.

The new immersive mode itself is great. But what is not great, is that if you switch it off again, all the settings in that category revert back to default. Which basically makes the immersive switch useless. :ouch:

What it really needs is a dedicated button (combo) to quickly switch between immersive on/off on the fly. For instance press both analog sticks + a third button for on/off. And of course remember the individual settings in that category.

I have still to do about 9 or 10 of the playlists, but so far I do find it EXTREMELY irritating that I cannot complete ONE SINGLE CHALLENGE LIST as a result, as there is a "crew" based one on every single playlist. Which means I cannot get ANY of the challenge related driver titles either.

But I'll survive

I am not going to rush to do the Ferrari playlist, as we're likely to see the related races in the Summits anyway this month.

I just focus on little "sections" of the game each week, effectively I'm treating the game like an RPG with multiple "secondary quests" to be done (the challenges, photos etc).

And I'm still focusing more time for now on TC2, trying to build up my car collection there while the game is still active. This week is a good week for me on TC2 - bought the last powerboat for the Summit, got 750k refund from last week's Summit car which means I can grab another Ferrari for importing across to TCM

I finished the Ferrari playlist.
Well, to be honest, this playlist isn't as fresh or interesting as the Redbull one.
Ferrari and tarmac racing. That's all there is to it.

But I was fascinated by this expression.
This playlist is probably the most concise and perfect expression of what Ferrari is and its spirit in the history of video games.

Spoiler alert, but I don't want you to see this screenshot until you've finished the Ferrari playlist.
I want you to be moved by how IVT expresses "Ferrari" without knowing what's going to happen in advance, just like me.

Got the 288 GTO and really enjoyed the playlist. I don't mind having a playlist focused more on speed. But what I really like are original speedometers. This is such a big feature in my opinion. Every racing game should have the option to use original speedo instead of the boring ones the devs design. TDU is the only game I can remember that used a car related speedometers.

Ferrari playlist, Red Bull Speed and Maui Expedition challenges can be done without subscription.
Red Bull Wild, 911 Legacy, American Muscle, both Drift, Electric Odyssey, Hollywood, Japan 2 and Liberty Walk require to do Grand races (no Crew).
And completing every custom mode races for any playlist will get you a Legendary Title.

Wow, the way you worded that made me realise - can you not do anything in a crew on console without paying for the console's online multiplayer subscription?

I'm reminded why my PS4 Pro never gets powered up these days! I'd completely forgotten about having to pay for that on console.

Grand race and joining a Crew is locked. You still play online when in free roam (up to 8 players). Summit and Custom Show are also available.
Basically unless you want PvP or have friends you don't need to pay extra. Still feels like a scam. 😂

Just a heads up that the game was crashing when I was trying to fast travel to Ferrari playlist feats earlier. Fast travel worked to all the other feats OK though. [Series S]

So they finally add the MV Agusta bikes. But it's necessary to update some models, for example the most recognisable bikes for each brand what already exist in the game.

Uhhh....I might have accidentally found a future car by accident...So I was clearing some Porsche challenges and....I noticed something - 'not owned'? But I have all the Porsche...I go to interact with it

WIDEBODIED CARRERA GT which will likely be the car for week 1month 3 (most likely since month 3 of S7 is focused on German vehicles)

EDITED to remove summit mentions since the 'Porsche ahead' summit is in the first week of September

I found things a lot easier this week, this could be a number of reasons why like its all hyper-cars and and street tier cars and that the Summit thresholds are lower, but its the first time that I have done all the challenges and even they were a bit easier too like staying in first place for three minutes?!

I'm currently in Platinum but I think that could change as its still pretty early but I don't mind if I drop to Gold as I only really want that 512 that I don't have. I didn't find this weeks Summit that challenging but a few events did need a re-do.

I have enjoyed the variety of the Summits over the past couple of months, its been different and challenging.

Has anyone noticed that they made some weird, subtle changes to the Season 7 update that weren't (probably) in the release notes?

It is unclear what the intention behind this is, but some of the illustrations for category icons that were previously based on real cars have been replaced with IVT fantasy cars and unknown generic cars.

Previously, icons based on real cars were used, such as:
  • ST1: Mini Cooper
  • ST2: Porsche 911 GT3
  • Drift: Nissan Forsberg Racing 400Z
  • Racing: VW ID.R
  • Hypercar: Lamborghini Revuelto
  • Rally: Lancia Delta S4

However, after Season 7, the list was changed to this:
  • ST1: Unknown generic hatchback
  • ST2: Ivory Tower Ogmios
  • Drift: Ivory Tower Ogmios Drift variant (*non-existent variant)
  • Racing: Ivory Tower Aezus GT
  • Hypercar: Creators Tempesta
  • Rally: Unknown Gr.B style generic rallycar
ザ クルー:モーターフェス_2025070w5210030.jpg

The cars depicted on the icons used up until now were models that already appeared in the game, and they did not feature brand logos or anything like that, so I don't think it has anything to do with licensing issues or anything like that. Why did they change the icon? (*Note: Icons in categories not included in this list will continue to use silhouettes of real models, such as the F-150.)

Another thing that bothers me is that the image depicts a mysterious model that doesn't appear in the game.

ザ クルー:モーターフェス_20250705210030.jpg

The hatchback in ST1 looks like a city car like the Honda Fit or VW Up!, but even including traffic models, there is currently no car in the game, either real car or fantasy car, that matches this silhouette.

A drift variant of the Ogmios... maybe in a future update?

It seems like they plan to add different category variants to IVT fantasy cars, like the Aezus GT and the Ogmios rally variant that was included in a previously discovered leak, so maybe they will add this variant for real.

ザ クルー:モーターフェス_202507052100320.jpg

And the unknown rally car... like the ST1 city car, may just be a placeholder?

Do you think there's any purpose behind this change?

I don't like the change to Main Stage levels with the Epic title moving to level 50 as that means I won't get those anymore. Not sure what happened to the Ultimate title as that is not shown on the Legend grid now.

I am trying to work through the Main Stage legacies bit by bit. Today I was being irritated by BlackPanthaa slightly more than normal...

EDIT: Final position for the week 74th :D I'll take that!

Very expensive summit this one. I think I'll skip it, since I already have the FXX.
Yes, is this the first time ever that there hasn't been a discounted bundle to get mandatory summit cars? The price of the F80 is clearly putting a lot of people off - 15k people have done the first loan car event, 5k have done the first event where you have to buy the F80.

It feels like they're trying to steadily ramp up how much time people have to spend each week to keep up. Motorfest adds the weekly challenges over and above just doing the summit in Crew 2. You don't have to do all the weekly challenges every week, but you do have to do something other than just the summit if you want to get everything from the other 2 tracks up to level 4. Then they made it so people need more parts sets, with score breaker needed for feats that require different vehicle categories. And now they want people to spend 2.5m credits on a car to be able to do the summit, far more credits than you get each week from doing the summit plus all weekly challenges. Combined with the terrible response I'm getting from them regarding the Crew 2 crashing on startup for me, my opinion of them is starting to go down a bit.

Why do all makers of driving games start doing this stuff? Do they not see the massive player counts of e-sports games where people can just play the game instead of this grinding nonsense? GT and Forza are just as bad, or even worse.

Can't say i'm a massive fan of that F80 so far i think I'll be sticking with my Jesko the f50 is always fun though hopefully the new

KOENIGSEGG Sadair's Spear will woop it

I have come to the conclusion that it is called the F80 because it is 80 feet long

I did buy it as I'm currently sitting on lots of cash as I usually refrain from buying TCM summit cars.

Not a great car to drive though, to be honest.

Anyone else find that the Weekly Challenge for entering the F80 in the Custom Show is bugged, tried to enter it twice and did not register?

Only need the GT3 for next week's TCM summit, so will buy that in TC2 when I have time to log on.

The F80 isn't bad to drive, it thankfully doesn't feel meta at the very least, but it's definitely takes some getting used to as with it is immensely grippy yet understeery due to the AWD nature, it's definitely not replacing my usual hypercar choices anytime soon, but I don't hate it!

...may have stolen the Harley Davidson iron 883's blue colour for my F80

I did notice that The Custom Show Weekly was bugged again, I left the car meet in the F80, drove it back in, registered it again and it worked for me.

That was the workaround from before it was fixed before. 👍

I went with a green paint job too... starting to appreciate the F80 I always find new Ferrari designs take a minute to get accustomed with. Really like the summit with it's fresh routes, the car can be quite a handful with gold nitro chemist set on it. I really enjoy riding it to the edge and correcting the exit with a bit of nitro. The dynamic of subtly using the nitro like a second throttle/rocket motor really sets motorfest apart from Forza in gameplay terms. Having not really engaged with the crew 2 that much, this game really has took me by surprise this generation.

I agree with you, but this week's TC2 summit is even worse.

I expected this based on the "Bling" theme, but the cars required for the summit are the Divo and the Sena. Even the bundle price is 5,554,500 bucks/793,500cc (non-bundle price is 7,406,000/1,050,000)

Luckily, the only platinum reward for this summit is nitro chemist parts for the powerboat, and the gold reward is a body kit for the Divo.

Many people who don't have these cars, including me, will probably finish this summit without buying the ridiculously priced bundles.
