Easy one take off the legend points off iron grip and go for a drive around the island before and after with the same car, im sure its global for free roam, in custom mode, and in the parts races in summits. It is a prime benefit for the tyre wear races, and for me makes cornering on loose surfaces tidier.

Yeah defo putting the iron grip legend back on... but it would be a drifting benefit to switch the legend points off.
Sorry m8 but i can't find any info about it adding grip only slowing loss

"Iron Grip. Decrease GRIP loss by x% with grip loss modifier"
"I’ve maxed out iron grip and done some testing and I don’t think I feel a difference "
"I'm pretty sure iron grip only reduces the tyre wear in the races that have tyre degradation. Otherwise it's a wasted affix."

If there was anything to Iron Grip doing more than advertised, the really fast drivers would already be using it everywhere and not just in events with tyre wear.

But oh boy does it make a difference in those tyre wear races, not only by keeping grip levels higher for longer, but also making no pitstop runs on a good majority of events either feasible or guaranteed which, for leaderboards or Summits is a big benefit. :D

Same here thats why I tried it myself, there's just some unofficial reddit chatter about it. If you cant feel the difference use your part affixes for what you prefer. I can tell the cars feel different, but its quite subjective I guess. Ive driven that long with it maxed out now, however its does seem more drifty without it to me. I think as @breeminator suggested its giving with one hand and taking with another in terms of lap times. A good test for this is running the bugatti le voiture noire with and without.

Did some mopping up of collectibles today by flying around the islands for an hour.
The biggest pain in the ass was finding the last 2 of the 4 backpacks "near the ridges" (Their definition of near is not the same as mine  ).

I wonder if a course creator would be added at the end of the game's life cycle. Could bring some neat tracks like TC2 does.

Also, I saw a highway track on TC2 which was 3,750 KM / 2,330 Mi and lasted for close to a third of a day to complete yet some people had completed it. I was like... damn, that's some serious dedication!

This week's Summit was pretty tough. It wasn't the course itself that was difficult, but rather the Carrera GT's strange handling that was the culprit. Last week's theme car was a Bugatti, boasting high stability, so the contrast made driving this car all the more challenging.

The Carrera GT would struggle with understeer, then suddenly oversteer as if a switch had been flipped. This alone was enough to annoy me, but in some corners, it would lift, causing the car to become even more uncontrollable. Even though this Summit was dedicated to Porsche, it almost made me hate Porsche.🤔

In the end, I swallowed my pride and turned on ESM to combat this strange behavior and get a better score. It was humiliating, but it was better than struggling with strange handling and restarting the race dozens of times.

Did you try any different setups or stick with one ? it can be ok but it wouldn't ever be my first choice in the series just like Clarkson I've never been a big fan 🙃

Yeah, its very contrary without the part set on, lots of faint lifts of the throttle needed at a high tempo on those windier courses. Bound to be a distinct change again for the next one in terms of handling might be more your flavour tomorrow (hopefully with a bit more downforce or grip). I thought this week's summit was demanding too, needed a pint of coffee for super concentration on a couple of those races. Was an awkward summit, but it's balanced out by that rush of nailing it after many attempts.

Are you enjoying the hypercars theme?
I'm not keen on events where you can only use one vehicle, and the summit rewards haven't really interested me recently. I'll unlock the Veyron Edition One on each account, maybe complete the summits on my main account this week, but it feels like a chore when each race is just "do this" and there's nothing good on offer for platinum. Playing AC Evo has reminded me how much I'd rather these games would just let us play them, but that game really isn't ready yet, and who knows if it ever will be.

Guess Im on my own, having a good time these last few weeks with hypercars & no boats and planes. Whittling down the times has been quite addictive again after a rough patch. Im ready for some new driving games I hope AC Evo is the first entry I can get engrossed in Ive uninstalled the last 2 in that series, wreckfest 2 might be a better prospect.

The most annoying thing in the history of the world... find 2 treasures! Drives me mad every week

Judging by this week's new Playlist event, the Apollo handles like it's on rails and will be very popular with me...

I don't need any Audis for next week's summit in TCM, so I can continue building up some Bucks in both TCM and TC2 for a later date 👍

50 Million players wow

New island or something more like houses, motorcycles...will see

50 million is a good number, considering there has only been 3 games (although FH5 is nearly at that number by itself). I wonder how those 50 million are split between 1,2 and 3.

Also, we FINALLY have a date for the Year 3 showcase. 16 October will not be too far in advance of the end of season 8 which still has 7 weeks to go [this week and next for Germany and then 5 weeks for the UK].

Although some grinding will be required, it is recommended that you have a car fully equipped with treasure-related affixes, as this challenge is actually the easiest.

Particularly useful are the runway drag event in Made in Japan Vol.1, the rival whose icon appears near Honolulu City Hall, and fast traveling to the container in the Dream Cars playlist.
These fast travel points will spawn treasure right next to them, so if you get in a car with the aforementioned affixes and head to these locations right after starting the game, you'll be able to find treasure right away.

Thanks for the tips on where to look - it's remembering the locations that I struggled with. For example, I know there is also one inside the State Capitol, but that is only there part of the time [at night only I think].

I have a car with 50% treasure which helps.

A lot of people think we will get that island in the North West of the map in Year 3. That would be good, however I feel that Maui still needs a LOT of filling out yet as it is underutilised, so I would like to see more playlists on Maui in Year 3.
