I hope the new changes will bring a more diverse experience to the game.
There's a meme often used by Reddit users that uses a parent playing with a child in a pool and a skeletal corpse at the bottom to mock developers favoring certain content; that's exactly what Motorfest is like right now.
They only focus on hypercars and ST1/ST2, acting as if non-car categories like boats, airplanes, motorcycles, and minor car categories like monster trucks don't exist.
This is creating conflict within the community between hypercar fans and fans of the neglected categories (or people who want a more varied experience in the game). This is a tragedy for both sides, and community conflict will never have a positive impact on the game.
Of course, I understand the reasons behind their choices. Ubisoft is currently in a difficult situation, and IVT is undoubtedly under that economic pressure. Therefore, they need to please as many players as possible within limited costs and maintain a high number of active users. This was a choice they had to make in order to survive.
However, it's disappointing to see them increasingly turning Crew into an FH mockbuster, failing to fully utilize the unique advantage and individuality of Crew, which is the diverse experience offered by its wider range of categories.
