Il say as usual, that since i dont plan on crashing into stuff i dont care about the damage, but so far my view on the damage is that its far from realistic, smashing a car into a wall at 100mph should do more than loosen the bumper.

Would you like the car to burst into flames? It's not going to happen.

Yeah that's what I noticed too....BTW there's another playstation on the left (playing a Video) and I noticed that the ps3 had a CD in it! ...so I went there and pressed the eject button to see and there was a gray CD that said "not for sale....blah blah blah" I was wondering If maybe that Cd contained the GT5 demo!...but of course, I put it back and didn't steal it :dopey:

What video was on it? lol

Damn... Seeing n4g and kotaku and cvg I kinda wish I never posted those screenshots when people are just going to nitpick on another thing about GT5...

Tomorrow I will check best buy in Plymouth Meeting PA (Store 448)
Very close to Philadelphia.
Lets see if they have the demo.

Haha funny. Not to far from you, used to live in Carol Stream, now in Aurora.

I live in Glendale Heights (about 5 mins away from that BB) :sly: small world! you should go there (Asani and myself) are the ones uploading the pictures because it seems as if that is the only best buy that has that ridiculous amount of damage setting for the cars! Although, today it seemed toned down :nervous::nervous:

lol I'll be starting in DePaul this Wed so I won't have much time to go to BB, but I'll try. Anyway, here's another vid. GTR V-spec Toscana in-cockpit view for those who wanted to see instruments light up.

One thing you'll learn about human nature is that people are difficult to satisfy. I for one am satisfied with the current damage model and I thank you for your coverage:tup:.

I will be happy once I see mechanical damage, as well bent suspension arms. Also I wonder about Tire damage

Same here 👍 It seems that GT5 fans are not humans then....we are a much more advanced breed of humanoids :dopey:

There is/was mechanical damage in those videos. I drove the NASCAR car and crashed it beyond believe...after a couple of crashes the car will spin out of control in first gear and it will hardly reach the third on the straightaway (Indy) After all the crashes my max speed was about 113 mph

I know there is, but seems it takes many hits, in reality after medium hit cars get undriveable. Not to mention a hard hit should end a race. So i would love to see the FULL damage.

Why can't people understand that damage has bee toned down in this demo so that one crash doesn't end a race. They know this is a demo and everyone who will play it will be a lead foot so they toned it down.

You probably won't see full damage until TGS.

I know I have seen this posted in one of the Q&A with Kaz, but I clearly remember him saying that one of the main thing about damage is that the car will NEVER stop moving...

Well, not exactly. Kaz did say that there will be a feature where one major crash will end a race.

No, he said that that COULD be made to happen as in the dial COULD be turned up to 11 if PD so wanted to do so, however he said they were still considering how to impliment damage which means they may choose not to allow damage that extreme in even the final game.

Asane

You state that as fact.

I may have missed something. Where did you find that information, I'm curious.

I like damage and all but it looks like the car is made from paper!?

I don't want that my car looks like origami:

I tell you what, my one hope for TGS is that we finally see how all this sits together. At the moment we seem to have little bits and pieces all over the place but with no idea how it all fits into the game - We hear about weather but we've never seen it. We hear about damage but we see it in different levels in different cars. We know about standard/premium cars but no idea if they will race together. We hear its 16 cars on track but never see it in a demo etc etc etc. Now this is all starting to make bad press in the general gaming press, surely its time for PD to put the record straight and tell us what we are getting?!
