The differences between the JGTC cars.

I have driven EVERY car available on the GT3 CD. And I find that close to every car is unique.

However, I have found very little differences between the JGTC's.

I cant really tell much difference between cars like the Denso Sard and the Tom's Castrol Supras.

I have found even less difference between the Pennzoil Nismo and Calsonic Skylines.

The NSX's are the only ones I can identify slight differences between. The Arta holds the road both laterally and has awesome hook up from a dead stop launch.

The Castrol Mugen can hit the switchbacks like a go kart and the Raybrig is a mix of the two.

But I am wondering why people claim to have 1 of the JGTC's as their favourite race car. And they seem to prefer some over others for reasons I can only imagine.

So please tell me what all of the hype is about your favourite JGTC. Unless you agree with me in saying that they are close to being identical.

I think the Pennzoil Nismo GT-R looks the sweetest!

But how is it different from the Calsonic?

I would say that most people claim this car to be the best.......

I thought the Calsonic Skyline had a bit better high speed stability at cornering... less tail happy than say, the Pennzoil or the Loctite one.

There's cosmetic differences between the Supras, but that's pretty much all.

I've actually heard more people who prefer the Denso Sard Supra fractionally over the Tom's version. I don't have much seat time in either one, but I sure like my Sard. I expect to use it a lot when I start Pro level.

I love my Raybrig NSX and I liked driving the Arta arcade car about equally; hard to note much difference. Laptimes at GV were very similar. I think the Raybrig looks the coolest.

I don't much like any of the Skyline racers. I think they look like giant R/C cars, and while I don't have much seat time in them, they are The Suck when driven by the AI (particularly the Pennzoil GT-R, which acts like brakes were a cost-cutting device the team owner decided to skip). If I had to be seen in one it would be the Calsonic.

For some amusement, race Laguna Seca in the All Japan GT Champion chip in Professional League. Just stay right behind the AI and watch them go through the Corkscrew. I just don't understand how the AI is supposed to give people a challange...

Anyways, the NSXs are basically the same in all attributes. The Denso handles a bit better where as the Castrol has more top speed. I haven't raced in either of the JGTC Skylines yet, so I'm not sure about them.

OA

Remember it also depends if the car is won or bought.
Because cars that are won have a slight HP advantage.

To tell the truth I think I have only really driven and tuned the Calsonic skyline, I think I used the Zexel Skyline for the tokyo enduro and it's handling was very simmilar to the Calsonics.
I used the NSX's allot in the arcade mode this time around and I preffered the Mugen Castrol NSX, so i think that is going to be my JGTC weapon of choice this time around.

Although I usually take a DTM car to the JGTC races.

For non-amusement, run in someones comp in the same scenereo,... except right when you think your OK when you passes the jack-ass who spun at the corkscrew, you braud-side the bigger jack-ass who spun after the tight 180 at the beginning of the straightaway:banghead:  :banghead:

Looking at each cars stats before they've been touched. (After being won). The Loctite has the most torque. They all have identical hp, but the Loctite Zexel GTR has 1.0 kg/m more than the next closest car, the Pennzoil Nismo GTR. PS: 1.0 Kilogram Meters is equal to 7.233 lb-ft torque.

GT3's cars are ALL measured in Kilogram-Meters of Torque, even though it says lb-ft! Its a glitch.
