In 2010, during the Honda Twitter interview, fans could ask questions to Kaz on the spot.

Someone asked if standard cars could have GT PSP- esque interior views. He responded:

"In that case, it would be technically possible."

And we eventually got them.

Now focus on the last two. They're similar, yet very different.

Another person asked about bikes in GT5. He responded:

"Technically it is possible to have bikes in the game but haven’t really thought about it yet."

We didn't get them, not surprisingly.

His latest answer proves that yes, it is possible, but his playful ending is unlike anything we usually see.

Both are technically possible, and we might be preparing it (laughs).

OMG, Kaz has said the standard cars are going to look better and we'll be able to have more freedom to customize them. So far, I love Gran Turismo 6 and I haven't even played the demo of it yet. :D

I know right? Looks like there won't be no Premium/Standard anymore. Yahoo! :D Gran Turismo 6 is gonna ROCK! 👍

OH! another thing that has not been mentioned is if the shadows have been fixed or not. It a small problem that bug everyone.

There absolutely still is, there just won't be a division within the garage. They've just tried to blend the old assets in with the new.

If I had a dozen base-model Imprezas, and one STI, and took all the badges off them, would you then assume they're all STI's?

No jaggies ?

Awesome, I'm cool with that, which I like. 👍

No, I think?

My favorite part:

"Is there going to be more car customization options? Are you going to be able to swap the engine or put decals on the car?"

Both are technically possible, and we might be preparing it (laughs).

Please be true. You cannot come back from this one, Kaz lol. No, like literally.

I don't see any commitments to keep in Kaz's above comment.

POSSIBLE. MIGHT

Not exactly a confidence inspiring choice of words. Nor due I think Polyhony is capable of "preparing" a complete livery editor in the remaining time left. If they already had one, surely it would have rated a mention at the Silverstone announcement, no?

I'm alright with that, especially if the standard cars look better and less PS2 like. I'm just happy to hear that they'll have more customization options.

If there still weren't an E3, Gamescom and Tokyo Game show left this year, then I'd say "yup". But there is still more to come.

I'm not saying he is committed either, but his playful ending is not typical.

Sounds more like to me he will give more info at e3, gamescon & tgs... Like its been stated countless of times, the info at the presentation was just "scratching the surface".

I dont see any.

Im asking because im not sure if im just so use to gt5 that I dont notice the jaggies or if jaggies are produced with that amount of smoke.I also didnt see any when he went in the dirt, so.. No more jaggies.

Yes, you just provided a pic that I, myself, posted, that supports what I just said lol.

Thank you. As I said, there's more to come.

That's an interesting way of putting it!

But you're right. It seems very much like Kaz is enjoying himself now. I remember when he was showing off GT PSP at E3 2009, when everyone was hoping to see GT6. He looked like he wanted to cry or throw up at times. With GT5, there were moments he seemed very upbeat, and others, like he was embarrassed over what people were thinking. It's good to see Kazunori-sensei having fun again.

And considering that he just gave us a little peek into the world of GT6, I can hardly wait to see what they have planned for us. 👍

One of the things that scared me was comparing some old pictures from Kaz to actual ones...

Gran Turismo burns his life fluids for sure... I'm happy to see him having fun again too 👍

It's a massively loaded question, you know, to ask about engine swaps and a livery editor. I mean, we're talking about two of the most requested features over the last few years (and perhaps even longer).

I don't want to take his answer to heart, or else I may end up disappointed, but that answer actually had some life to it. And he appeared relieved to say it (even just through text, it was apparent).

Honestly, I'm not expecting to see the livery editor because as it's a really important and desired feature, they would have shown it already...

Engine swaps are an easier task... Kaz in the past didn't liked engine swaps (he said that in some interview, can't remember exactly when) but if he reckons it's technically possible and they may be preparing it. Who knows?

Of course, we have much to see, still... they really must be saving a lot of gems for the next events :)

Well, sure. For one thing, there's this huge competitor called Forza in the wings, and you don't play your aces when your opponent hasn't shown a thing yet. And as has been mentioned, Kaz has three more big shows in which he has to keep people buzzing about GT6. He has managed to make it an engrossing game, even though it's not coming out on that sexy monster PS4, so the biggest hurdle has been cleared handily.

I also notice that he's looking a little bit haggard. He must have been working his rear off the past year or two. Poor guy, but as he says, everyone is enjoying the hard work. Now, if he would just quit smoking...

I remember the last time KY was "preparing" something. It was DLC.

I hope this "preparing" also comes true. I'm trying to avoid getting over-excited, but these features would be huge and help soften the blow of a next-gen Forza (in my opinion).

You dont think they would want to spread out debuting features up to the release? He said he wants to save stuff for 3 shows. They wont even show everything at e3.

It's very true that he loves to drop big features at different venues.

E3 2010 had a lot of information, but gameplay-wise, it was mostly of the day/night transition, with only a mentioning of weather.

Gamescom 2010 showed off the course generation application.

TGS 2010 had gameplay demos of rain and went into depth of the "My Home online features".

This will be an interesting time for us racing fans. There will be a number of PC sims and next gen console racers coming out, with Gran Turismo returning to the "antique." I'm curious to see how much Drive Club, Project CARS and Forza 5 will overshadow GT6. And how much they won't.

And as you say, with three events to work, I can imagine that Kaz is going to be playing out his cards show by show, and driving us all crazy with anxiety attacks from the wait.

The first one is negative.
The second one is positive.

You can say things in a negative and a positive way, both may superficially be about the same, but represent a different view/background.

👍

OK the car list was disappointing to me, but PD showed off some new or awesome features to somewhat make up for it.

- pp restrictions on career mode races!
- you have to pay to fix damage
- Now it is also possible to set up multiple races in sequence online
- career mode races that feature fast time change
- real stars in the night sky
