Did I say they weren't?
If you didn't say it outright, you implied and insinuated and I was very, very drunk at the time. I think; I can't really remember (and I usually remember everything unless I've drunk about as much as a Ukranian dock worker can take), which is usually a sign of a good night.

Idk, I'm actually fairly excited. I've always been a fan of the series....sure it hasn't had the best acting, but I like the story line, and of course I'm a sucker for cars anyway, so i'll be seeing it regardless.

I don't see all the criticism about F&F, yes there is basically no realism involved, and yes just about all the cars are riced. But it's still fairly entertaining. I don't care if anyone says they know about cars just because they have seen F&F, who cares really. Ofcourse, I do hope they would move off the 'ricer cars' theme, but I don't care if they stick to it.

It's not the fact that a lot of people don't like the movie, it's the fact that it almost single handedly started the ricer scene in America and around the world.

I personally hate the movie, though the last one was somewhat entertaining. I have both the first and second on dvd and i'm deciding if I should try to sell or just burn them

Do you "know" about drifting and tuning from watching Tokyo Drift and the Other FnF videos?

Just to let you know, there is about 2% realism in these movies.

I hope this one doesn't create even more stupid people who think watching these movies makes them know a lot about drifting and tuning, there's enough of those people already.
My brothers one of those...(bold text)

I enjoy the FnF series because of the story. A movie that focuses on the real street racing scene would be plain boring.

Burn them! :trouble:

Well not really, depends which one it is. :p The Ghostrider series are awesome (Oh, before you think its the Ghost Rider movie featuring Nicolas Cage, think again....) which had some bike stunts and street racing looks pretty cool and exciting. Another good movie was Shuto Kousoku Trial series, although I doubt anyone would watching it..... :indiff: But yeah, there is certainly better street racing movies than FnF.... ;)

What I guess I was insinuating was that judging by the last 3 movies they might follow suit and do something to the car. But I don't think they don't have the capability of leaving it alone.

Put in a microwave for like 3-5 seconds, Drop it on a set Mouse Trap and record it with a high speed camera. It beats burning them by a lot.

its like a glass shattering explosion. Spectacularly Epical Suspense just watching those 2 (real-time) seconds pass by in 2 (virtual) minutes

Fast and the Furious 5 : Taking it to the Tracks!!!

Well, for some reason if you look at the Cast, Han is back. I don't see anyone associated with D1 but its early and what the hell, I am going to watch it in the theaters.

Wow bro calm down. You're kind of giving off the 'internet tough guy' vibe.
Seems everyone around you is either 'stupid' or beneath you.
Theres no need to insult a person just for showing an opinion.

Anyways, I personally think the first movie was excelent. My first love was the Countach and either F-Body GM, but I was always into Japanes origin sports cars like the 3000GT, Supra, and NSX etc. every since my first Hotwheels and Micro Machines. But these were really uncommon in Detroit. I had seen them here in there rarely but FnF open my eyes to a sub-culture I never new existed. I never new so many people, in one place could show the same enthusiasm as myself over these type of cars.

TFTF was a totall upset to me, I actual thought it was horrible. From my perspective the original FnF had a great plot so even viewers that weren't neccessarily into the import movement enjoyed the story. TFTF just didn't have the plot, the main characters vehicles were hideous, the special effects were horrible.

The same goes for TD pretty much IMO. The only car I found descent was the Monte, Viper, and Veilside Fortune FD. I personally think that there wont be another FnF that will ever be as good as the original.

Han is back? Isn't he a crispy critter now?
Though somehow probably a good move, in that crap-pit of the movie they call Tokyo Drift, the Han character was probably the best thing about it.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this but... I watched Redline again.

I take it all back. The FF series is ok. :dunce:

You know, I could swear he was dead too.
They zoom in on his face and then the car exploded.. What a shame that was a beautiful car. Han was an amazing character too.

Joking right?

Option Magazine was first created in 1981, and the Option videos started coming out in 1988. Super Street's first issue was in '97, and F&F didn't come out till '01.

Well, wasn't it Import Tuner then Super Street?

And you like Super Street? Ricer boy.

Import tuner- Girls and somewhat Rice

Super Street- cool powerful cars little girls

Sport compact Car- Power ful cars

Turbo Magazine- POWERFUL cars
Dsport- Daily Driven with girls
Modified Mag- 50/50 never hurt anyone

I think that I forgot some.

edit:FnF series= Phail but +1 at the same time.

And you like Super Street? Ricer boy.

Super Street is hilarious to read, plus they normally have some pretty cool cars featured. Its also pretty funny that I'm being harassed by a 13 year old.

Sure. Right when I go to Ricerville, Ricer section, at 420 + Ricer. It's still rice. If there is any ground effects or Mad Tyte Body kits, it's all ricer.

You see how I said almost

Don't even tell me that there wasn't an enormous increase in ricers after that movie came out. Hell, I was even sucked in by that by that bullcrap. Thank god I was only an ignorant little kid and realized how absolutely retarded that was as I got older. I wanted to put a neon fart can muffler on my dad's Windstar for Christ's sake :ouch:

Well, at least this didn't come to America

I also want to know what the main car is going to be! I hope its a new modded GT-R!

Robin

Oh oh I really really hope not, the first two did so much damage to genuine Nissan enthusists and driver/owners it is not funny.

I have a feeling it will be though :nervous:

The Mustang with the RB in it worked out but having that Mustang on 19s is what made it worst.

Super Street has come a long way from rice.

I suggest you take a look at their article on the 1973 Datsun 510, or the Mugen RR.
+1 on Super Street. Its the only import/JDM magazine which has more car contents than any other magazines similar to it. Not only do they include articles on the cars, but did some coverage on many tuner/drift/drag events as well as hosting their own events (the SS/IM Time Attack challenge is always a good read! 👍) Can't believe how SS changed in the last 10 years......

Uh........ you need to get your head checked. Not all body kitted cars are rice. If they have a purpose on putting the body mods, then its not considered rice. However, nobody has the same opinion so for some it might be rice, for others its like typical JDM stuff. But what you said really shows that you have no idea what being JDM is all about....... ;)

What? You make just about zero sense here.

And ground effects don't make a car ricer, just about every car that comes out now has the option to have some kind of factory kit be put on, even older cars did, I know for sure that old Camaros and the like did.

*cough*

1200 HP cavalier? "Phat" Wide body? It's not the tuner cars that I am opposed to , its most of the ricers that appear in these mags.

Eh? Usually "tuner cars" have some sort of exterior modification, which may or may not be hideous.
